Erik's Swedish parents Ulf and Petsy Kahn purchased the Ranch in 1969, raising horses and cattle (200 head at one time). They rode the trails, tended the cows, and had great times fishing, swimming and camping.

We are really excited to share some of the most beautiful areas by creating a few private campsites overlooking the river. We want it to be everything the crowded campgrounds are not!
This campsite offers a serene and picturesque setting right by the river, perfect for families and nature lovers alike. The spacious sites are well-maintained and provide easy access to the river for activities like kayaking and fishing. The hosts, Michelle and Erik, are praised for their hospitality and thoughtful touches such as fresh flowers on tables and responsive communication. However, a few campers noted issues like dog waste left by previous visitors and occasional control over shared amenities like the rope swing.
This was such an amazing weekend enjoying this waterfront camp with my family. We kayaked into town and back for lunch and saw so much wildlife - turtles, cranes, loons and even a bald eagle! Got to visit with the friendly horses which thrilled my 4 year old. Would definitely recommend.
Great place for a getaway weekend. It was awesome to hangout under the perfect tree and watch the river pass by. Only issue we had was our dog Beau didn't notice the big drop to the water line. That took a bit to get him back. Thanks for the memorable camp spot so close to the Portland area. We would totally recommend.
Our family loved the wide open space for games and letting the dog play, but also the privacy between sites that the river bank trees and vegetation offered. Nice picnic table with lovely flowers to welcome our arrival. 100% appreciated the dock access to the river since the bank is tall and steep on camp side. Also the use of paddleball made my kids so happy, and easy put our own paddle boards into the river whenever we wanted. It was quiet at nights and the other campers were all very respectful. Peaceful and lovely to be right on the river surrounded by wetland and farmland.
We had a beautiful 2 night stay in Campsite #1- we lucked out with 70+ days in mid October. Michelle and Erik were wonderful hosts with great communication. The campground was private and clean. And just gorgeous scenery- trees, river, wildlife. We can’t wait to visit again.
Michelle & Erik offer an exceptional camping experience. It was unique in that there are only 5 sites, each on the river & with the ability to have a camp fire. The porta-potty was very well maintained & the community water made dish washing very easy. We loved fishing the Lewis River and appreciated the use of the kayaks! Michelle saved us by providing additional wood 2 times - as I massively underestimated how much wood we needed. Next time, we’ll include horseback riding with Erik! It was a perfect camping experience - thank you!
Great communication before our arrival. Easy to follow directions to get there. Awesome and well taken care of property. Beautiful location with some fun amenities to enhance the trip. We will be back.
