322 acres that was cut down in 2020. We are growing over 150,000 trees on it now with plans to line the 1.5 mile driveway with Japanese Cherry Blossoms from DC (Yoshino, Kwanzan, Weeping, Okame, Higan, Akebono, Snow Geese). The mountain starts at 600 feet elevation and climbs to 1600 feet. Very peaceful and remote yet you can see Seattle and Mt Rainer. As I will spend over $60k a year fighting blackberry, cottonwood, red alder, and elk damage to get our forest established in the next few years, your contribution by staying here will 100% assist with helping the trees. There are 9 different secluded campsites on the mountain. All the sites can be used to host parties of up to 150 people (we have done it several times). The issue to consider is traffic. For large parties, we ask most people (usually car people) to park below on Green River Gorge Rd (there is a large county pull off) and then load into the back of trucks for the drive up the mountain. It is a one lane road, so it could get congested if 100 cars drove up it. One retirement party rented a bus for running people up and down and a porta potty at their site for guests. I am very happy to assist with party planning and setup if you have a wedding or retirement or business party. (or anything else) Boy and Girl Scout troops and Explorer scout units are welcome to camp free (when doing unit camping and in uniform). Site 4 would be best for large troops. Hip camp gets people the property entrance great, but the coordinates to the driveway entrance are 47 19’15.7”N 121 58’05.6”W or 47.321039, -121.968225 should you want them. The gate has a hipcamp sign on it but it is hard to see if the gate happens to be open. Franklin Ghost town is 2.5 miles (or 2.5 minutes southwest at 60 mph) from the entrance to Aquaman Mtn. If you are trying to find my gate and you end up in Franklin, you need to turn around and drive back 2.5 miles on Green River Gorge Road. When you see the large pull-off section on the right (North), my gate is 100 yards past that on the left (South) of the road.

Campsite 6- Mtn Top- View Rainier
I loved this campsite! Amazing views of Mt. Rainier. I haven’t seen so many stars in a long time. My dog loved getting out of our apartment and being able to run around.

Campsite 8 Most Remote
What an absolute gem. Sooo much space and privacy!! Beautiful property and the perfect place for our overly anxious pup. Site 8 doesn’t have the views of some of the other sites but it’s tucked away and so serene. We will definitely be back to try some of the other sites. My only gripe would be that previous campers did a terrible job at picking up their or their dogs poo, seems as though they forgot the ol leave no trace mindset. Thanks again Aquaman, we can’t wait to come back.

Campsite 4- Holds Most Vehicles
Amazing sunset & sunrise views
Quiet place with amazing views only 30 minutes from my house! Lots of free available firewood when fires are allowed. Distance between campsites also gives a good amount of privacy.

Campsite 6- Mtn Top- View Rainier
Doggos in the wild
If you’re seeking a camping experience that combines breathtaking views with the serenity of nature, Aquaman Mountain is an absolute gem. Nestled near the top of the mountain, spacious site 6 offers a view of the iconic Mt. Rainier and surrounding valley, making it a perfect getaway for both novice and seasoned campers. We appreciated the fire pit and tree stump tables, which made it easy to enjoy our evening meal under the partly cloudy sky. Our puppers appreciated being off leash to run up and down the logging road as many times as they pleased. Hiking enthusiasts can access Franklin Coal Mine trail that starts right from the logging road near site #3; it's an easy stroll once you're over the trees blocking the access road. Great 1st hike for our Lab puppy.

Campsite 5- Amazing views- Mtn Top
Stay Here, See Nature!
We absolutely LOVED our stay at Campsite 5 on Aquaman Mountain! All day we were surrounded by amazing mountain, hill, and even city views (you can see the Seattle skyline waaaay in the distance when it's clear)! We enjoyed cloud watching and feeling like we were in the clouds! The space is huge - we only had two people but could have easily fit a group! We rented a canopy, which I definitely recommend - it provides some shade! There's no shade at the site otherwise, but the canopy provides more than enough!
