Ceredigion has a unique unspoiled charm of it own. It might take a little longer to get here but when you do you'll understand. There are the beautiful beaches, dolphin spotting, secret mountains, great places to eat, wild walks, little market towns, outdoor adventure, mounting biking, kayaking, surfing, heritage, ruined abbeys, National trust estates, or just stay and relax within the beauty of the site and complete join the activity trail, play on the hill fort, dam the stream and enjoy the dark starry skies around your own fire. A week is not enough time to absorb. Take the steam train (01970 625819) from Aberystwyth to Devil’s Bridge. The scenery is eye-poppingly stunning. Just half an hour’s drive away you’ll find the sheltered sands of Llangrannog Beach. It’s a beautiful spot with plenty of amenities, so is very family-friendly. Dogs are allowed, but must be on leads. There is a good dog-walking beach about 5 miles from the site (Cei Bach beach). The natural wildernesses of the Cambrian Mountains are close at hand for hikes and picnicking.
