Camp at National Park Boarder Line

Awesome campsite, definitely recommended. Right at the National Park boarder line under some nice old trees , you are camping on a flat ridge road around the bend from the only house on the street but definitely in the wilderness. Host was awesome. Will be back again!

Shenandoah NP Ridge Road

Very nice place. Seen my first owl in the wild here! One down side is the chairs provided were broken and covered in spider webs. Luckily I brought my own. Other than that I would recommend.

Shenandoah NP Ridge Road

Not a bad spot, but not my vibe.

Overall host was nice! The spot itself was very far back in on a gravel road. Nothing against that, but damn those are some hills! Our car could hardly make it up some of them. This isn’t an issue with the host more so just an advisory I would suggest 4x4 for this spot. The only real complaint was we like isolated camping. It is past the neighbors house like stated but it’s really about 50feet from a house and I felt like I was camping in someone’s back yard. There was a street light I could see through the night and it just didn’t feel very camp worthy. The site is on a slant and it leaves very little room for tent camping. I’m not saying don’t go here like I said the host was very considerate I just wanted something a little more primitive and off grid away from people and life. Thank you for hosting us!

Off roading and secluded experience

Lovely place. Totally secluded and the gravel road was fun to drive. Lucky I had a Toyota 4runner.

Shenandoah NP Ridge Road

Great tent camping site!

Went tent camping on this little spot. It was pretty fantastic. Isolated in the mountains. Great views. Very tranquil. Two minor recommendations: Bring you own wood - there’s deadfall but you can’t be too sure it’s all useful. It’s on a minor slope. It would be nice to have flattened out, just a touch. Great place!!

I liked it

The land was very good for camping, access was a little challenging however it was worth it for seclusion. I enjoyed my stay.
