Nestled right beside the Murrundini River, all 3 campsites are beside the river, and well spaced apart for privacy and peace. Campsite 2 (site two) is shady, surrounded by tall swamp gums, black wood wattles and tree ferns. This spot is at its best from late spring through to autumn . Site One is a large flat area beside the river that is good all year round. It has fencing and gates, perfect to let dogs run free without going too far. Site 3 (Craig's flat), is a large open campsite, able to take more camper-vans/ tents with plenty of space. All sites have fire places. And there are plenty of fish for those that want to try their luck. The original home stead (built in 1876) burnt down in the 2009 black Saturday fires. There still remains many 150+ year old elms and other European trees near the toilet block, which are delightful in autumn. We have some fantastic views from the hill up and down the Murundindi Valley, especially at sunset. We're located only a few short km's from Wilhelmina Falls and Murundindi Scenic Reserve, you get the best part of the river, without the crowds. We are a short drive from Melbourne, and easy access to the townships of Yea and Yarra Glen for supplies if you need them. Amazing, abundant & rare bird life to enjoy and photograph. Site 1 (River side )

Michael is an exceptional host with great communication. The fully fenced campsite offers peace of mind, and the river access was perfect for cooling off on a hot sunny day. Highly recommended!

Craigs Flat - Site 3

Fantastic camping with kids & dogs

Camp was very private, would not have known that there was even other campers there. The river was great for the kids & dogs to play in. Fantastic level area with toilet was a bonus

Tenting with dog.

Tent camping. Site 1 had heaps of flat area to set up tent. Nearby potable water. Clean flushing toilets available further up the track. Fenced dog yard was safe (with supervision). Quite area with local wildlife. Host was contactable (if needed).

Stayed at site 2 - great little spot surrounded by trees and the flowing river. Lots of bird life. Beautiful spot. Well set up toilet a short walk away. Thanks Michael!

Site 3. We had a lovely 4 day stay with some family and our furbaby. There were other 2 sties that were occupied, close by but far enough away for privacy and peace and quiet. Our site was so peaceful and relaxing and we had a running creek which was nice but didnt catch any fish. Michael was a great host and also let us stay a few extra hrs with no extra cost on our last day because he didn't have a booking on that day which was very much appreciated. We recommend Michael's hipcamp 😊
