Redbank farm has been home to five generations of Superfine Merino wool Farmers. The charming homestead is set on 1000 acres of rolling hills, lush trees, and dams that offer plentiful grazing to sheep and cattle. Metcalfe's rural landscape still remains largely untouched, giving a real feeling of freedom and fresh air, filled with wildlife and sensational scenic adventures to enjoy, like the stunning cascades just up the road. Redbank offers sites across 200 acres of land, SITE 1 a main area offers 4 large sites suited to campers wanting to be super close to toilet, shower, camp kitchen, and playgrounds, which is a major hit with the kids making it a popular spot for families. The camp kitchen has dining space and barbecue facilities. There are about 6 paddock sites that are still within walking distance to all facilities but are nicely spread out to provide guests with there own space. We have 4 sites that you will either need to be a self-sufficient camper, or keen for a hike to facilities as these sites offer a lot more privacy and would need 4wD to access. 2 more sites that you must completely self sufficient and have 4wd skills. We are a no trace camp ground and ask you to take all waste with you when you leave. Dogs are permitted in camps but must be kept on a leash to protect our livestock. Redbank is a working Farm and you will likely see or hear evidence of this during your stay, but we are very considerate of our campers and have had a wonderful experience sharing our land so far and had very happy campers. BEYOND REDBANK156 Campers will find many more attractions in the area, Great spots for hiking, swimming, fishing or just straight up relaxing in the serenity. TRUPENS waterfalls are close by CASCADES and the Coliban River runs through Metcalfe AND EPPOLOCK just up the road. A short drive of 10-15min in all directions will take you to one of the funky little historic towns Kyneton, Castlemaine, Redesdale, and Malmsbury, and another 15 mins on to Daylesford and Trentham all filled with brilliant restaurants, cafes, vineyards, vibrant retail and market scene. What more could you possibly need for a great getaway?

We loved staying at Redbank. It’s our second time there. The facilities are great (toilets, showers, epic play ground area). There are multiple campsites but they’re so far away from each other you don’t really notice them or hear them.

We stayed at Redbank Farm for two nights, and it was truly a memorable experience! Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by our host, Crystal. She gave us the option to set up our camp closer to the amenities, where more people were camping, or farther away with more space and a better view. Naturally, we chose the latter! As novice campers, we set up our tent in an open area without much thought. That night, however, we quickly regretted our decision. Without any trees for shelter, our tent was battered by strong winds, and we could barely sleep due to the cold. The next morning, after the wind calmed down, we went out for a short trip. When we returned, we were shocked to find that our friends’ tent had been destroyed by the wind, with broken screws. We contacted Crystal, and she immediately came to help, bringing tools in hopes of repairing the tent. Unfortunately, it couldn’t be saved, so we decided to cut the trip short. Just as we were about to leave, Crystal called and offered us a stay in one of the canvas cabins—free of charge! We were thrilled when we saw the cabin; it was beautifully curated and well-equipped, and Crystal even started a campfire for us! We had an amazing night, slept comfortably, and truly enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. Thank you, Crystal, for your generosity and kindness. We wholeheartedly recommend staying at Redbank Farm—especially in the lovely pitched canvas cabin!

Great Choice

Fantastic spot with beautiful rolling hills. Was very private and comfortable with a toilet & bathroom not far away. Crystal was a great host and would recommend Redbank. Most probably will stay again.

Perfidy spot for a toddler

The land was beautiful, Crystal was very helpful and the playground was such fun for our toddler. Sites were very well spaced and amenities were basic but functional. We had such a lovely time and would absolutely come again.
