Site 7-1 Beautiful park
Dreamy camping get away
Franks farm is truly a wonderful delight. My friend and I are avid campers and been to many places. When we booked for Franks farm, we didn't expect a lot out of it because we were happy simply to get away camping for a few days, no matter the place. However Franks farm really turned our heads. Not only did it have a beautiful ,almost lake like dam - with free usage of row boats ! but the real beauty for us boys is the common room that had everything in it! Arcade games, pool table, vending machines, couch, big tele, stove, fridge and clean toilets and showers ( small fee, but trust me worth every penny) !! Seriously, to me it felt like I was in a hotel. Then when you are done and cleaned you simply head back to nature and camp ! Soooo goood !!!
Steven and his crew got it all figured out and did not bother us one bit.
Despite the rain as well as the scorching summer heat, we absolutely enjoyed our stay. A place close to Melbourne yet seemed so far away !

Site 2 Water view
Lovely quiet weekend
We loved our 2 nights at Franks Farm Site 2 water view. Large area and beautiful view of the lake. Only campers here this weekend so it was very quiet and relaxing. Will be back again.

Site 9 Orchard and horses view
The views were superb, however we were much closer to the noise of the highway than we’d of expected.

Site 12 Big flat fun
Not private but great views
Overall we had a lovely experience, however we were very aware of the road noise from the M3 and VLine at the bottom of the hill. If that’s not going to bother you, then it’s a nice camp space for a night.

Site 5 Camping under big tree
Huge potential but missed the mark
This Hipcamp has the potential to be great but there is just too much going on. It was very busy while we were there and we could see other campsites or big power poles in every direction that we looked. Not what I imagine when I book a Hipcamp. Our kids (ages 3 and 5) pointed out a lady doing a bush wee behind her car but in plain view of our site. We could also see full nudity and hear music all night from what we are guessing was a bucks party at another site in clear view of our site. We had 3 sites within a 15 metre radius from us.
I asked specifically prior to booking if we chose the shady site could we park our van away from the gum tree so that we weren’t at risk of falling branches. The host said that we could. Unfortunately, the grass is mowed only where they want you to set up camp so you are surrounded by knee high grass. We had to park underneath the gum tree which had plenty of dead branches that we could see. Risky for snakes with pets or young children too.
The dam was fun for cooling off. There were a couple of row boats for everyone to use.
There was recreational shooting happening on the property one night and shooting going on beside the dam while kids were swimming at one point approx 20m away. I brought up my concerns with the owner who assured me that his neighbour was a very accurate shot so we were safe. It was actually a camper doing the shooting.
Overall, great potential, expensive, too many sites, good communication, felt unsafe. Not for me.

Site 1 Water site
The property was nice and site 1 would be the pick. The water quality in the dam isn't very good - aglae. Not sure what can be done, perhaps yabbies or fish.
It was really windy, my new gazebo broke, my toilet tent blew flat and my bbq blew off the table multiple times and ended up cookingon the ground. I know there's nothing that the owners can do to fix that but it didn't make for a good experience.
When the property is full, it's too full, like a caravan park. Not what I think of when I think HipCamp.
