This property boasts both excitement and practicality- located just minutes from Wangaratta CBD, whilst still being secluded like you’re miles away from anything. Light a fire in your sites very own fire pit and bring your furry friends! All dogs are welcome provided you clean up after them, and they are well behaved as there are cattle on neighbouring properties (and sometimes ours), so please restrain if likely to cause trouble The ovens river is the perfect versatile adventure playground whether you’re throwing in a line, kayaking down the stream or just sun bathing in a floaty - Camp Ovens has it all

Piper 2

Fabulous and spacious

Piper 2 was an awesome space for our camping group. Plenty of room to spread, for the pups to run and still have the fire separated. Pete popped in a couple of times to check in, had fire wood waiting for us and even topped one of our vans up with water. There are other sites on his property but great distances between camps. Access and directions were easy to follow. Plenty of trees around but not overhanging the camp site. We will be back.

The Beach On The Ovens

Loved this camp! We like to be able to pitch our tent away from others, to fish from camp, to safely let kids run free, to access water easily, and prefer not staring at introduced trees and weeds. This camp did all that! Peter offered stellar service. Sshhhhh….dont tell too many people!!

King of the North the Ovens River

Such a lovely spot, had the area to ourselves with a great sandbar and the owners Peter and Paul made sure we were happy with everything. We will definetly be going back. Lovely people.

Pipers Point on the Ovens River

Riverside Bush camping

Peter and Paul were great hosts. They gave the campsite a fresh mow before our arrival. Provided us with a fire extinguisher to have near our camp fire, and were always offering to top up our water. The campsite itself is shaded under river gums and right on the ovens river. Firewood everywhere you turn. Pack you kayaks and bikes. City of Wangaratta is only and hour paddle via the river or 15 minutes by bike.
