If you can get this location when there are no other guests, it's a cool spot as long as you understand you are staying in the desert with no facilities. The hosts directions were great - definitely would recommend using them and not mapping software. We were driving AWD so no issues, but some spots felt like they might be rough on a vehicle with no clearance and it would be slow going once off the paved road. The site isn't prestine, but I wouldn't really expect that on this type of property. The fire pits are nice and surrounding trees are cool for hammocks, but not really tall enough to be shade. The walk to the water was not bad. However, I think just due to it being peak summer season, we didn't have the waterline to ourselves like we hoped. Some people had boated across the water or were staying on nearby properties and had staked out sites before we arrived Saturday and didn't move all weekend. Quite a few people were driving off-road vehicles around the property till dark, which I'll admit the engine noise was a bit of an annoyance. Yes, there is some prickly cacti/shrub in the area but you probably should be thinking of that before you bring your dog or kid to the desert anyways. We did have cattle wander through overnight. As a couple that camps on raw BLM land often and generally tries to avoid the mass camping at state/national run sites, this was worth it to avoid crowds and spend some time on the water - but it was not as quiet as we had anticipated.

Just what we were looking for !
Getting there was a bit tricky but we managed with the help of the host it’s a lot easier he answered very fast. It was just 2 of us so we put up a tent. It was pretty flat so it made it easy to set up. It got really dark I would recommend bringing a flashlight. It was about a 10 minute walk to the lake there was some cacti as well. There was trees to set up hammock'so. We also saw a couple bunny’s around. Overall a very good first experience camping🪵.

Awesome host!
The host Jossue was amazing, he went above and beyond to help us out. The sites are flat enough to make leveling your rig easy. With the water levels where they are now (Aug 2023) it's about a 5 minute walk down to the water. The beach is sandy and has trees for shade. The sites could use some improvement and markers to identify which sites are which, but overall it was perfect for what we were looking for (some place that we could be loud late into the evening). Directions provided by host will get you to the camp fine, but recent rain fall has caused massive rutting that made part of the road impassible to those with low clearance trailers so we relied on the GPS coordinates provided by Jossue, basically the same route except for once.your on Lake Point Drive watch for 5250 South and hang a left the keep following Googles directions but found the turn off into the property was about 200 yards past where Google Maps said you have arrived. Can't say enough good things about how awesome Jossue was in responding to questions and accommodating our group even when he was out of town.

This is such a lovely campsite! We were the only ones there so there was lots of privacy. The property is super close to the lake! Perfect for paddle boarding and fishing.

My group and I loved our trip! Very close to the lake and was a beautiful little spot. I would be mindful that there are tons of small cacti on the site. The directions provided were very helpful and got us there. We did get a mini van to the site, but an off roader or car with good suspension would be recommended.
