The Happy Acre is our home which sits on an acre of land on the edge of our quant, lovely little town of Vernon, TX. We are conveniently located as Hwy 287 runs directly thru Vernon. We are 45 minutes from Wichita Falls and 3 hours from Amarillo, Dallas/Fort Worth, and Oklahoma City with the Oklahoma border being 30 miles away. There are plenty of eateries and shopping nearby. We have plenty of space and offer both primitive and RV camping. We are pet and human friendly as long as all of well behaved! We just enjoy meeting new people and sharing our love of travel, music, art, and food with all! We hope to meet you soon! We came there as strangers and left as friends!!!😀 Carl & Stacy are amazing host! Friendly and accommodating. They open there home and place with open arms. Our little dog Zapata loved hanging out, with there friendly dogs, in a big fenced yard. We stayed for 2 days. Nice and quiet at night. We would definitely, stay there again if ever passing threw✌🏻😀👍

Southern hospitality at its finest.

Group trip

Very nice couple, southern hospitality at its best. Welcomed us after a long. 10 hr drive from Colorado. Staying again on way home. Will stay again next time in area. Clean restroom, other amenities available but weren't needed this time.
