The sites overlook the beautiful Canadian River breaks to the north with wide open skies to the west and east to enjoy the sunrises and sunsets. These are rustic sites with no improvements. We are just getting started with this so you’ll be able to help us from the ground up. If we are not in a burn ban you’re welcome to have a campfire. There will be opportunities to call up a wild coyote or watch some mule deer or an occasional antelope stroll by. You could even be awakened by the horses on their way to water in the morning and we can set up some horse riding if we have enough notice to schedule time off from the 9-5 haha. Can’t wait to see you on the prairie! The sites overlook the beautiful Canadian River breaks to the north with wide open skies to the west and east to enjoy the sunrises and sunsets. This campsite offers a truly serene and spacious experience, highlighted by stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. Guests frequently mention the friendly and accommodating host, Tyler, who makes every effort to ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay. The presence of horses, windmills, and the trusty guide dog, Ted, adds to the unique charm, creating a memorable setting for stargazing and relaxation. However, prospective visitors should be prepared for the wind, which can be quite strong, especially in an open-field setup.

Peaceful and private

Site was as described. Nice private site with gravel. There had been lots of rain and snow before we arrived but still enjoyed the peaceful site, especially with the beautiful horses and sunset.

I took a break from Hipcamp due to a bad experience. Coyote Breaks has been on my list for travel between TX and CO. So glad I took the chance!! Tyler was so pleasant to deal with even though I arrived later than intended
(My poor planning with time zone change.) His communication was timely and directions were clear. It was dark upon my arrival and he assured me that I was in the correct location. I had such a peaceful nights rest and when I woke… wide open space!! Unfortunately I missed the welcoming committee (4-legged furry friend!!) But that’s because of my late arrival. I will be back on next travels.

We had a late arrival at Tyler’s and didn’t know what to expect, but he greeted us warmly and went over and above to make sure we got to the field alright. His hospitality and care made a stressful trip so much better and we are so thankful for him!
