The campground was great! It was once a KOA and still is reminiscent of that. Gary, the manager was super helpful and extremely nice. There was even coin laundry on site.
Gary the camp host was great! He made us feel welcome and at ease. It was loud since the Interstate is next to it. And in the summer it’s hot and humid. But the amenities made up for it. Clean restrooms with showers. Laundry. Coffee maker. Picnic table. Electric. And the vibrant campground felt well lit and safe.
Great spot for an overnight spot, everything went well with checking in and all the hookups works properly.
My only complaint is that if you have a large rig/fifth wheel. Site 12D is hard to pull out of without clipping branches. We scrapped a bit coming out. The place overall just needs some trimming but other than that it’s a perfect spot!
This KOA is usually quiet when I come. I have stayed here a couple times. I was delayed until after midnight, but was able to finished laundry onsite around 3A. DROPPED the drinking water I brought (water bottle fell and busted open) so I left site to buy more (not much sleep).
It was a bad night but laundry on site was convenient and the campground was within less than a mile to convenient stores that I could quickly buy water from.
It was quiet but close to the road. Bathhouse was clean.
