Had a really hard time finding the site. Was not well-designated, making it very difficult to tell which property was the hipcamp, especially if you’re navigating to it after dusk. Property was also very close to an active highway, so don’t expect a particularly restful night’s sleep.

Pros: -Close vicinity to the cool town of Wimberley, which has a lot to offer. -Our host, JP, was very responsive via text. -Upper part of property is nice and flat, and is an open space for a few camper vans or RVs. Cons: -There was no address # on the property and, as a result, we could not find the site. We spent time driving up and down the road searching. Eventually, we had to text our host, who did respond promptly, and he directed us where to go. -The property borders the main road in and out of Wimberley, and there is the constant sound of traffic noise very close by. -We did not experience the property as the host described. It was not as visually appealing as we had expected.

Quiet and convenient. Nice to be able to let my dog run. I had the place to myself. It was easy to find. I will probably stay there again next time I'm in San Marcos.

Was a great camp spot in the hill country with nice starview at night and close to town if you need supplies.

Our host JP was very accommodating and it was a great place to stay. If you are looking for a super quiet place, this is not for you since you have roads on both sides of property. We didn't mind, there was still plenty of space between us and the road. Easy to find and plenty of firewood. Would definitely come back.
