Chinquapin oaks, white-tailed deer, the endangered black-capped vireo, and the occasional Rio Grande turkey inhabit this incredible property. The sites are large and well laid out with plenty of separation from neighboring sites. The hiking trail is easily accessible and is nice because it is one huge loop, so you can't really get lost. We loved site 14 and it has plenty of shade. Having access to free firewood on site was a huge plus on a couple of chilly nights/mornings.
