I found this little old homestead that had been abandoned 30 years ago. Over the years it had become overgrown and hidden. The first time I waded thru the outer wild hedges and briars and stepped into it, it was a place that opened up like a secret being revealed. I was filled with inspiration! I loved it then! The property was overgrown with wild grape vines that had grown over 3 decades. The Good Lord had been saving it for me! A month later it was ours! And so the work began! I pray for production, protection and happily thankful blissful hearts to all who grace our ground on the Wildvine Homestead! Bountiful Blessings! Rhonda’s setup topped our expectations. Nature, animals and conveniently located was perfect for us! Take time to cool off in the cowgirl spa, it’s refreshing!

Down home on the ranch

Rhonda was such an AMAZING hostess! She was kind, helpful, social, and even brought us peanut butter and chocolate cookies by the campfire. The location is central to Cummins falls and Burgess Falls and a short drive to several others in the area. The “ranch” was cozy and had a lot of flair including an old covered wagon which was great to sit in while avoiding the rain. She has a small metal pool in the back which was extremely clean and would’ve been refreshing had we gotten in it during the hot day instead of after a cool rain. 🤪 The chickens were fun to watch as they climbed the trees and Gypsy, the dog, was kind enough to greet each of us as we pulled into the drive. One warning - those roosters will get you up with the sun! So if your vacation plans include sleeping in - change em now and plan an early day or bring some earplugs. Haha. We are already discussing when we can come back because we missed out on her “Hillbilly Hot Tub” option. It’s a separate fee, but who wouldn’t want to soak in a Cast Iron tub filled with hot water, out in nature with soft lighting and fresh home grown peppermint herbs while looking at the stars? Perfect way to end a day if you ask me. Ask her for details!

Rhonda is extremely hospitable and showed us around her property to see all her animals. Her land is 5 minutes from town to get anything you need. We stayed in the mini-ponies corral which was dry, soft and clean. We were greeted by the one of the pony's in the morning which was very pleasant. Our rooster friends were up bright and early so be prepared for that. We also had a nice fire and enjoyed the company of other guests staying there roo.
