Set high up in the mountains of cradle country at a 540m elevation, our beautiful farm is peaceful and picturesque. The majestic presence of Mt Roland, Mt Van Dyke, Mt Claude and Black Bluff can be seen from various parts of our property with a stunning valley view sitting pretty at the rear of our plateau paddocks. Nestled in the heart of North West Tasmania with camping close to Cradle Mountain only a 35 minute picturesque drive, 15 min from Sheffield the town of Murals, 5 min to Lake Barrington perfect for swimming, rowing, water skiing, power boating and canoeing, 5 mins to Tasmazia with its model villages and endless mazes to occupy the kids along with many walks and natural Tasmanian attractions close by. For those wanting to spread out, prefer privacy or are traveling in groups we encourage you to book our 4wd Plateau and 4wd Dispersed Sites which are open during the peak months depending on cattle movements. Our main campground has 10 sites and is open all year round. The main campground has level grassed campsites measuring 6m in width and 19m in length (Sites 2 - 10) Campsite 1 is the larger site and measures 10m in width and 19m in length and sits seperate to the other sites. Price advertised is per site, per night for 2 people. Campfires permitted in designated area within the main campground only and when restrictions aren't in place. Firewood is provided. No amenities on site you must bring your own camping toilet and water. ** NO Dogs allowed on property as this is a working farm** Check us out on Instagram @thefarmcradle

So quiet! Wonderful spot, friendly hosts, gorgeous cows and spectacular views! Pristine, lovely space to pitch a tent for the night. Will definitely be back. Maybe even stay in the B & B attached next time :) Thanks Shae and Steve!

Site 8 - The Farm Cradle Camp Ground

Wonderful spot to stop perfectly located to explore Cradle Mountain. Flat grassy sites, very peaceful, and Shae and Steve are friendly , and very helpful hosts. We came with a group of 6 vehicles and it was a lovely 2 night stop with a fire at night and great views. Would highly recommend, thank you guys.
