Woolooga Central Main Camp
Woolooga Agri-tourism
Woolooga Central is located on a hill above the old town centre. It is situated perfectly to enjoy Woolooga Coffee & Co and Woolooga Longyard Bar and Grill, the 2 businesses reviving the old town centre. Shane is good to chat with and has made fire pits of various sizes available. The site provides excellent sunrise and sunset views. A great value location to enjoy the agri-tourism push in the region.

Wow! What a location! An unique spot with views to die for. Fire pit, shower and toilet with some kitchen facilities. - all we needed and we had the place to ourselves.
Woolooga Central Main Camp
#Picturesque but #PricklyPaddocks🌵
Camping @ #WooloogaCentralMainCamp (WCMC) was a last minute find for our family to 🏕camp during the #GoomeriPumpkinFestival 🎪🎃🎇🎆🎪and
Amenities such as a flushing 🚽 shower 🚿 camp kitchen 👩🍳🧑🍳 as well as 🔥firepits🔥 were a major drawcard and thoughtful touches, such as toilet paper and eco friendly handwash and dish detergent, were well appreciated.
The grounds are more suited to those with 🚙4WDs 🚎caravans 🚐 camper vans .. BUT if you are 😉🏕camping in tents🏕, or drive a 🚗regular car🚗you may struggle with the deep ruts and gravel drive, especially if it is raining ..
🏕Tent Dwellers🏕 be sure to note that there were loads and loads of 🌵 large spiky prickles (bindis) 🌵+ 🐜meat ants 🐜... so take your ⛑🩹med kit 🩹⛑ for the bites and be prepared with 🧹brooms🧹 and tweezers😉😉 .. also allow for ⏱⏰lots of extra pack up time⏰⏱ to get rid of the burs and prickles from ground mats and anything in contact with the ground (including flip flops 🩴tyres🧹⚙️ on prams 🚴♂️bikes 🛴scooters etc an extra 3-4 or so hours (we had 2 x 8 person tents and 2 gazebos + 2 mesh ground floor tarps).
Our campsite was furthest away from the camp kitchen and bathroom facilities, which was our preference (a group of 3 caravans/campervans were already parked around the camp kitchen; so we were grateful to enjoy a campsite removed from the main area, especially later @night 💃🕺
Our campsite, (a flat to slightly undulating space, enjoyed gorgeous views over the paddocks on one side and the township of Woolooga and ranges in the background) was located at the top of the paddock closest to the neighbouring property and shaded by a beautiful large tree - the good breezes would make this particular site an awesome spot during summertime!
The whole rural setting was lovely and we observed the owners of the neighbouring property administering to their cattle each morning (which was a particular treat for our two young grandchildren and sons) , undertaking everyday rural farm work — I couldn’t help but feel we were slightly intrusive on the neighbouring property, given the logistics of our campsite, as we had positioned our tents and gazebos in such a way as to block the main camp area so that we could enjoy our campsite and the lovely views.
The campsite makes mention of the local cafe 👩🍳🍽 👩🍳 + pub🍽🍻 only being 200 metres away - perhaps as the crow flies; in reality its probably a 🏃♀️🏃♂️🏃good 200 metre walk from our tent campsite to the front gate and a further 400-500 metres 🏃♀️🏃♂️🏃up the road to the pub (which by the way has been closed indefinitely since last year) and the cafe was not open (as the owner also runs a delicious food truck + seafood truck, servicing local events, such as the Goomeri Pumpkin Festival ... so make sure you have sufficient🍾🥂🍷 bubbly or booze 🍻(either before passing through or stopping off at Gympie, Kilkivan or Goomeri .. or it will be your 🏎fastest🏎 17kilometres ever, before an 8pm close for thr Kilkivan Hotel’s bottleshop 🙌🏻
Shane, the owner of WCMC was very helpful during the booking process and made sure we were settled in during our camp set up - he also touched base daily to ensure adequate water pressure was available (gravity fed water) to the amenities, and that there were no issues.
We would stay again, dependent on whether the 🌵prickles 🌵were an ❌issue ✅ ❌or not✅.

Woolooga Central Main Camp
Wonderful place to stay for a few nights. We were given a warm welcome by Shane who brought over some fruit & vegetables off his property the next day. Perched on a small hill with fabulous views & a Fire pit! There's also an above ground fire cooker & an offset cooker. Looking forward to returning.
