Nomadic camping

Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.

We have 178 acres of beautiful land hidden in the hills of Tarome in the Scenic Rim community. An amazing view of the national park and Cunninghams Gap. There is a hidden creek at the back of the property that never runs dry, running from Gap Creek Falls at the top of Cunninghams Gap. The location is perfect for a quick getaway or long stay, complete privacy and little reception depending on your phone service, ensuring a peaceful camping stay. There is lots of activities within a short drive from the property including fishing at Lake Moogerah, hiking the mountain tops or having brunch at the amazing local cafe's in the area. Our campsites are hidden in the hills, down by the creek or out in the open. You will need a 4 WD to access the rear of the property. There is a steep incline at the beginning of the track followed by a tight corner because of this caravans must be off road and under 17 ft. Make sure your car has the power and weight to get it up the hill. There are 3 x 2WD camping options for caravans over 17ft or those not off road. Depending on the type of vehicle and van will dictate your camping locations. Maximum caravan access for the rear of the property is 17ft off road van. This is due to the hill climb and a tight corner at the top. Please be aware of the weight you are towing and your car is capable of pulling it up the hill. Dogs are welcome but must stay within the camp, be under control or on a leash. If you have friends who you want to invite but don't have camping gear that's okay, we have the option to hire a camper trailer. All they need to bring is food and drinks. Only 1 available, please see Extras. We welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. All human, food and general waste is to be removed upon leaving the campsite. We have fireplaces set up but if you prefer a different site for your fire please bring your own fire pit. Good Firewood for camp ovens etc is available for purchase under Extras. Pre order your wood. For this one off price we will supply you for wood for your whole stay. There is sometimes wood located at each campsite but the amount and quality is varied. Check in and out times are flexibility but please arrange time prior to arrival

An amazing place

Miagi 2WD with dam

We had a relaxing time at Over the Creek. Horses were super friendly and amazing to watch running through the property. Walk to the creek was worth it. So peaceful. Easy to get to

Gem of a spot

Corner 4WD

Absolute gem of a spot, positioned on the corner of the creek with views both ways. Once you overcome the challenge of the track in the place is stunning. We towed in an Austrac Tanami x13 with a Y62 so plenty of right foot for the first hill climb which will be your biggest challenge to get to the rear camps. Lovers lane. 2 people 4WD only

We stayed at the Lovers Lane site and we were absolutely blown away! We and our 2 dogs couldn’t stay away from the beautiful clean creek which ran just outside our swag. The site was private, quiet, and blissful. We did not expect the steep 4WD track to get there but it was epic and added to the experience! Hosts were flexible and welcoming, and kindly escorted us through the 4WD track the first time to ensure we didn’t get stuck or lost.

What a creek!

Kent’s pocket 4WD

Was a beautiful property with very helpful hosts. Had some horrible weather which hampered access but Phil found us a good spot we could get to and setup. Camp-fire rock rings at all the different spots, well kept areas. The creek is next level beautiful with lots of different little spots to check out.

The back flats 4WD

Absolutely gorgeous place to stay! Plenty of space between campsites and sites are well maintained. The creek is perfect for swimming with crystal clear water - just stunning! Can’t wait to come back!
