Mountview is a very special place having been in the family for over 120 years. The working farm is 650 acres of grain cropping and also runs a productive Charolais beef cattle stud. A central stopover point an easy 15 minutes from Toowoomba city and only a few kilometers off the New England Highway. Great for couples getaways & larger family groups. For those that may not be experienced campers onsite accommodation is also available in the fully renovated homestead for up to 8 guests. Explore the local area with so many attractions and places to discover including the Darling Downs Zoo, The Historical Bull and Barley Inn, Lavender fields, quaint little country towns, sunflower fields, hiking tracks and so much more. Enjoy wide open spaces with magnificent views. Watch stunning sunsets, toast marshmallows around the fire pit, watch the night sky for a dazzling display of stars, hike or say hello to the many Charolais cattle on the property. You will also have access to the facilities at the Ironbark Barn which include a pool table, television, kitchen and bar area, and hot shower and toilets. The kitchen has a fridge, freezer, BBQ, dish-washing station and rubbish/recycling facilities. IMPORTANT; Please note to hook up to power you will need a lead of at least 30 meters. 15 amp power is supplied. Power is allocated on a first in best dressed preference. If you desperately require power please advise at the time of your booking and all efforts will be made to hook you up to power. Campers must arrive before 5pm to check in. A Fantastic Place to Relax!

From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and at ease, thanks to Katrina, who kindly showed us around and made sure we had everything we needed. The grounds were beautifully maintained, with a cozy fire pit and seating area perfect for unwinding. The communal barn was a fantastic addition, offering a fridge, kettle, sink, pool table, BBQ, and an open fire pit, everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The clean toilet and hot shower were also a great bonus. The atmosphere was incredibly peaceful, and the sunflower field was simply stunning. Watching the sunset by the fire, was the perfect way to end the day. We will definitely be back!

Camping with beautiful sunsets

We had an amazing experience at Mount-view Farm stay. The space was spotless, beautifully decorated, and exactly as described. It felt like a true home away from home. The location was perfect. Katrina was an incredible host—super communicative, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I’ll definitely be booking again next time I’m in that area. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a cozy and convenient place to stay!

Katrina has an incredible spot, she has thought of everything and more for her guests. Super friendly and meets you on arrival, option to buy wood for the fire pits, the pool table and much more. For being only 20 minutes from Toowoomba City, you feel like you’re a world away. I would absolutely recommend staying here to anyone and I will book here any time I need a relaxing getaway. Must visit! Fantastic location.

We loved staying on Katrina’s property. Facilities are so clean, the camp sites are well spaced out and the eggs and honey we purchased onsite were great for our breakkie! It’s a close drive to Toowoomba but you still feel cosy and far away from people. Katrina is very welcoming and great in providing suggestions for things to do. Will hope to return soon!
