This camp is an easy seven minute drive from the Gympie Music Muster site. Get in early to set up camp at your choice of positions on a mostly flat paddock in the crook of huge private valley. 4WD is not totally necessary but may be advantageous in wet weather or to those wanting to get off the beaten track. With creek frontage, shade trees overhead and ranging hills behind, at this camp site you will be sure to catch sight of many birds, wallabies, and other wildlife, perhaps even wild deer. Bring your camera! There is a porta loo (and coming soon, a hot shower) on site, we will hire more if bookings are thick but if you are self contained that is awesome! We have a few fire pits and rings available. Exploring the area is a must. You have the creek right here and the forest, nearby are National Parks with marked trails, more creeks to swim in and wildlife to observe. Bunya Farm Produce is open on Saturday mornings for a taste of the best offerings around and Amamoor markets greet the steam train every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday morning. There are many farm-gate suppliers in the region for you try our fresh produce. At Kybong Gems there is a wonderful gem and mineral exhibit, a rock shop and every August the site comes alive with rockhounds from across the nation excited for the Gemfest and camp-out. Also at Kybong is "Hell Town Hotrods" as you imagine, this place is an Alladin's Cave for those into anything vintage, retro, car or petrol.... complete with a workshop pumping out custom hotrod rebuilds. There is a neat cafe and bar on site too. More for the gemologist or mineral hounds, Gympie is close by with the Heritage Museum, featuring the history of gold mining and industries of the area. You can learn how to pan for gold there then come back and practice in your own private bit of creek! The Gympie Region Art Gallery always has high quality exhibits and houses a gallery store representing many of our quality local artisans. Art lovers won't be disappointed, many of our regions artists have been exhibited in state and national galleries and some even overseas. Nature photographers won't need to go far from camp, if they need to leave at all. Amamoor Creek is abundant with enough wildlife, flora and fauna to keep you busy for days! We look forward to seeing you but don't worry, it may only be to let you in the front gate! It's a rural area with farms around so we keep the gates as find them to ensure no accidental movement of cattle.

Private but not like the photos.
The location is a large paddock, hardly any water in the creek unfortunately, we were the only ones there which was nice for privacy. There was no animals, just a large paddock and trees.

Very peaceful.
My friends and I enjoyed our time here. We had young children who enjoy exploring the creek and looking for wallabies, cows and ducks. There was plenty of space for ball games. There was a clean portaloo for us to access. And we had no access issues in our 2WD cars.

Steve's property wae lovely and quiet, was such a great escape! We were the only ones there and if you are lucky enough to have that you will truly enjoy the peace. Facilities were great and clean. Steve met us at the front and also saw us on the way out and was very easy and pleasant to talk to. Definitely check it out

La Dolce Vita @ Amamoor Creek
Absolutely agree with all of the other reviews after spending the weekend right on the creeks edge. The sites are well spread out, plenty of space for the kids to have a game of cricket. Heaps of wildlife to spot, flowing creek even though we haven't had lots of rain and Steve was a fantastic host to top it all off. Looking forward to a return visit.
