On almost 2 acres you will have a small barn with a loft and a queen mattress. There is a stove and wood to be burned. There is an outside shower, native plant gardens, a pergola with chiminea, an edible herb and vegetable garden and a fire pit. There is also a hammock under some huge Norway Spruce trees. Feel free to relax! Distance to more fun: 20 minutes to Jim Thorpe for biking, hiking, rafting, browsing cute shops, excellent restaurants. 12 minutes to Mauch Chunk Lake Park and the historic Switchback Trail 14 mins to Lehighton (Downtown Farm Market on Saturdays) Blended Bakery too! 15 mins to the Lehighton Outdoor Center for bike and rafting rentals (maybe kayak lessons) 25 minutes to Hawk Mountain Sanctuary 15 minutes to Bake Oven Knob (hike and a view) 20 mins to Blue Mountain Ski Area and Bike Park 20 mins to Beltzville Lake 10 minutes to Tamaqua 16 minutes to The Hometown Farmer's Market (9-9:00 on Wed only) 20 minutes to Tuscarora State Park 30 mins to Cabela's Outdoor Store Restaurant Recommendations - I love to snack and eat. Ask me about savory to sweet. I teach yoga and have a super cool loft space. A class can usually be arranged during your stay. Regular classes are held Monday evenings at 5:30pm and 7:00pm and Friday mornings at 5:45am for the early birds.Welcome to my property! This place has been a labour of love. You will be staying in a small structure that was hand built with mortis and tenon joints whittled out of tools that were handed down, built just for the job, or refitted with hand made handles. The building is not insulated so the temperature inside is pretty much the temperature outside. There is a woodstove in the barn for chilly nights. Other features include a stone campfire pit (firewood and kindling starter is an additional $10 per bundle), open pergola, outdoor shower (seasonal), native pollinator garden, opportunity for on site yoga in an open air barn loft. There is no running water in the building but the building does have full electricity. You will have access to an outdoor shower and potable drinking water from a hose. Port-a-john on site, a short walk away from the cabin, super clean, and serviced weekly. Full size bed with protective mattress and pillow coverings provided. Must bring your own linens or sleeping bags. A word on children. We love them. They are great. That said, there are a bunch of ways that the site and structure are NOT kid friendly: think sharp corners, irregular steps, pet doors, raw wood splinters, steep ladders, hot wood stoves, loft sleeping quarters, wired railings. There are probably Hipcamps that are better suited for children. 20 mins from Jim Thorpe, PA and Beltzville Lake, Tuscarora State Park, and the Appalachian Trail, Hawk Mountain. State Game lands within 5 mins from property. 25 minutes to Blue Mountain Ski Area. Excellent road biking in the Mahoning Valley right from your door.  There are only 321 drive in movie theatres left in PA. One of them, The Mahoning Drive-in, is 4.5 miles away. It is the only drive in movie theatre playing 35mm. https://apnews.com/article/technology-digital-cinema-technology-lehighton-movies-movie-industry-e583f6a2e2e24d3385bf5ded3346c9a8 Heisler’s Dairy Bar and Mini Golf is 20 mins away — a beautiful drive and some very good milkshakes. Heisler’s has a driving range too. Galen Glen Winery, which has (and continues to) won multiple national and international awards is just 4 miles away. Cellar Beast Winery is less that 10 miles. They have excellent food and wine pairing dinners too. Bright Path Brewery in Jim Thorpe is a small craft brewery that specializes in lagers and session ales. It is a little over a mile from downtown Jim Thorpe. Check their Facebook page for upcoming food trucks and live music. Eight Oaks Distillery in New Tripoli. Visit the Hometown Farmer's Market near Tuscarora State Park on a Wednesday for good food, fresh produce, and various antiques and curiosities. 30 mins from Cabela’s. 15 minutes from the Number 9 Mine Tour in Lansford, PA. This is an awesome look at mining history of this area. You take a ride deep underground to see the inner workings of mining that fueled the industrial revolution. And it’s really a great idea on a super hot day. On site yoga classes offered in the larger barn for an additional $14 if it is during regular class schedule which is normally:Monday evenings at 5:30pm and 7:00pmFriday mornings at 5:45amPrivate sessions are available at an increased rate. The cabin was oh so cozy and I loved the porch swing! The location was awesome because even though we were close to Jim Thorpe as well as other places to check out, restaurants, etc. the cabin was tucked back away from it all. Jennifer was very sweet and so happy I got to meet her and the pups!

Jennifer and her “Dude, girl ranch” are awesome! Jennifer was incredibly accommodating and welcoming! We booked last minute due to rain. We needed to bring an additional vehicle in which Jennifer responded immediately and allowed us. She was even kind enough to take our order and bring us treats in the morning from a local bakery! This would be a great place for people with dogs! Our puppy and dog loved it! The cabin even had a large crate and doggie door with a small run! Jennifer offered us a larger run for the dogs if needed. We walked down the back road which had very little traffic. I have NEVER seen a cleaner outhouse! So, don’t let that deter you! Thank you so much again Jennifer! We will be back!

Cozy, clean, and comfortable!
From the moment we drove onto the property, Jennifer was hospitable and helpful. She does such a wonderful job providing everything needed for comfort and ease. We loved the porch swing, the fire pit, and the view! Timber, her dog, is so friendly and lovable. The site was clean and maintained. Most importantly, we felt welcome, safe, and comfortable at the ranch. This is a must-stay spot. She thought of everything and then some! She even recommended awesome places to eat and visit. 10/10 from us!
