Come stay in a traditional Mongolian Yurt on this majestic 2.4 acres of land located on a butte with southern exposure facing Mt. Bachelor, Broken Top, and Three Sisters Peaks. Enjoy the great views while soaking up plenty of sunshine during the days and excellent star gazing at night. Juniper dominate the landscape with an abundance of black lava, the densest lava found in Central Oregon. There are local mule deer that travel thru the ranch foraging on sagebrush and juniper berries. This campsite is located close to plenty hiking/biking trails and state parks. Whether you enjoy rock climbing, fly fishing, hiking, rock hounding, or spending the day shredding on Mt Bachelor there are activities for everyone nearby. We have a flock of 5 free range chickens that you are likely to encounter, they are very friendly.

We created a unique experience to glamp in a traditional hand crafted 19' Mongolian yurt. Nestled in a Juniper Grove, enjoy the peekaboo Mountain Views of North and Middle Sisters along with Broken Top peaks. Three glaciers are visible on North Sister from the west side of yurt, they are the Thayer, Linn, and Villard Glaciers. The yurt is well insulated for the cooler nights in Central Oregon and heated with a cast iron propane stove.
Stargazing is incredible, along with epic sunrise and sunsets from this Southwestern facing property. We have cozy, vintage solid wood furniture pieces, Nature’s Best organic queen mattress, organic cotton sheets provided and a Batik cotton duvet. Spring water with dispenser and tea station. Outside we have a Camp Chef dual stovetop with ample BTU's and a large bbq grill.
We have a flock of chickens and one resident Peacock(although our Peacock recently disappeared possibly because it's mating season, we are currently searching for him). Our dog Willie is a mini Aussie, he may come to greet you as he is very social and loves to be pet.
There is a porta potty near entrance for your bathroom needs and a hand wash station for cleaning up behind yurt.
Currently we are not accepting animal companions. During warmer summer months we turn off stove for heating yurt. This summer there is a fire ban locally(usually beginning ltter part of June) with extreme fire risk, please be responsible. We provide a propane fire pit which is safe to use during the fire season ban, or previous to the ban. The terrain is very rocky so it’s a good idea to have a flashlight at night and wear shoes that protect your feet as there are many rocks that are difficult to see in the nighttime.
This is a rural, residential neighborhood with large, wooded lots and incredible views. Please be respectful of neighbors and quiet time hours. The beautiful attractions of Central Oregon are only a short drive from our ranch. Ask for recommendations we are happy to help, as we've lived in this area for 10 years and are outer lovers.
