Learn more about this land: This comfortable and spacious yurt is located on the 30-acre property of the historic Paisley Mill along the Teeswater river. With three large windows, a dome skylight, and wool felt insulation, the yurt provides a wonderful "glamping" experience. There is a double bed and a single bed in the yurt along with a cooler, table, chairs, and storage space. In the future there will be solar power, but right now the lighting available is by a battery powered lantern (provided). Next to the yurt is a picnic table, fire pit, and a sawdust toilet. There are basic utensils, plates, bowls, pots and pans available in the yurt. Bring your own: camp stove, water, bedding, pillows Important to Note: The only heating source is a wood stove. You need to be comfortable using a wood stove safely to stay at this yurt. While the yurt site only a short distance from the main mill residence, it is secluded and offers a beautiful private camping space. The town of Paisley is only a 10 minute walk from the yurt. There is a grocery store, bank, LCBO, and a few really delicious restaurants in Paisley. The yurt is a 20 minute drive from Lake Huron and the beautiful beach towns of Southhampton and Port Elgin. You will love visiting nearby MacGregor Point and Inverhuron Provincial Park with their beautiful walking trails and beaches. This comfortable and spacious yurt is located on the 30-acre property of the historic Paisley Mill along the Teeswater river. Emily's yurt offers a retreat into nature with all the necessary comforts for a peaceful escape. Guests consistently praise the cozy atmosphere, enhanced by a wood stove that keeps the space warm even in winter. The location is ideal for those looking to unwind, with a serene riverside setting and easy access to charming local shops. While the yurt is well-equipped, visitors should be mindful of the black walnut trees, which have been known to dent cars if parked too closely.

The yurt was such a cool experience, even for the winter! We love campfires so it was so fun being able to have one outside and the wood stove inside! Would totally recommend doing here with your fur babies too

Great winter stay!
This yurt was the absolute perfect stay. We arrived in an unexpected snow storm in the dark and Emily’s instructions and directions were so clear that check in was smooth and easy. The stove kept the yurt toasty warm:) Would highly recommend for a cozy secluded stay in the woods:)

I got my husband Jim to bring extra wood just incase we ran out, BUT the wood was plentiful/ beds comfy/ sooooo many books and games, and the hot beverages were a real treat 🙂. Having our coffee this morning while sitting on the bench by the water, and listening to the birds was a great way to start our day. When we arrived we noticed that there was no water in the jug for washing dishes or drinking, but we were able to get some. No need to take cleaning supplies like I did, because the YURT had all of that plus a very clean outhouse that did not smell at all. What a great overall experience 👏

We loved our getaway at the Yurt! It had all of the supplies we needed, and Emily is great with communicating how to use everything. Even through very strong rains one night, the yurt stayed warm and cosy. The multitude of dry firewood was very much appreciated! And the sun roof on top is spectacular to look through at night. The yurt itself has very high ceilings, so it doesn't feel cramped at all. However, the door is quite short, so taller people should take notice as to not bump their heads!

Awesome experience, beautiful time of year to camp there! Only downfall was the black walnut trees, and the walnuts falling. Don’t park too close to the yurt, we ended up with a couple of dents in the hood and we only parked there for 15 minutes to unload. Aside from that, would definitely go again!

Lovely yurt getaway equipped with all we needed to enjoy a nice weekend in solitude. Beautiful in the fall, just watch out for the walnuts!
