Located 5 minutes from the cute Village of Creemore, MECS Farms & Growers is located on 50 acres of primarily farmed land. The log cabin site is located next to a quaint watercourse that offers a picturesque and serene stay. The log cabin is an off the grid cabin complete with a tiny wood stove to keep the cabin warm in cooler months of the year. There are on site trails that walkers can enjoy to get a beautiful view of the area farmland. There are two ponds on site that regularly pull in the area wildlife for a drink. You may lucky enough to see one of the many deer or other wildlife to traverse our property in this scenic and simple getaway. Located 5 minutes from the beautiful Village of Creemore, you will find most amenities that you may need. We are also located about 20 minutes from the beautiful city of Collingwood and 25 from Alliston. Barrie is about 35 minutes away. With the owners on site, any questions that one might have, can be answered pretty quickly.Escape to the beauty of nature and experience the ultimate off-grid getaway at our charming rustic log cabin! Nestled in the tranquil backwoods of our property, this cozy retreat offers a serene environment surrounded by a lush wooded area on one side and picturesque hay fields on the other. Our cabin embraces nature's pace by not having hydro or running water, allowing you to appreciate the beauty of a simpler existence. But fear not, we've got you covered with convenient amenities to ensure your stay is comfortable. Relieve yourself from modern conveniences using our well-maintained outhouse, and keep warm on chilly evenings with the miniature wood stove inside the cabin. We provide firewood to keep the cozy ambience alive, and while you're here, make sure to sample our farm-fresh eggs, available for purchase. For a good night's sleep, bring your own bedding and pillows, and we'll provide a queen-size air mattress. The cabin also features a fold-down couch for an additional sleeper, and if you're looking to connect even more with nature, you can pitch an extra tent outside. Unplug from the digital world and allow yourself to truly relax. While cell phones receive service, we purposely don't provide Wi-Fi to encourage a break from screens. Instead, immerse yourself in the great outdoors and enjoy the thrill of spotting local wildlife right on our doorstep. The surrounding area offers abundant recreational activities, ensuring there's something for everyone. So pack your bags, leave the hustle and bustle behind, and come rejuvenate your mind, body, and soul in our idyllic off-grid cabin. This log cabin offers a cute living space complete with a couch, coffee table and table for seating. Above the living space is a loft for sleeping. You must climb the ladder to get to the queen size air mattress that will complete your day relaxing on the Farm. Located almost 0.5km from the main house, you can drive all of the way to the cabin. Come winter time, we will see how to best get hipcampers back there. Follow the signs from the driveway where to drive back towards cabin. There is plenty of space for an additional tent or two at an added fee per night. Complete with a outdoor table and chairs and fire pit, the camping experience will be there for those that do not need much. All pets must be leashed at all times. Linens can be provided for the bed at an additional charge of $20. No access to the farm or farm animals.

Pastured Raised Whole Chicken good

We sell our pasture raised, antibiotic free chickens raised right here on the farm. They will be frozen when you arrive, so either let the host know ahead of time to pull the bird out to thaw or let thaw yourself and cook on the second night. These birds make great beer can chicken recipes for everyone to enjoy. The birds are $25 each or $5.95 per pound depending on size of bird requested.

We have a cooler available for your use if needed upon arrival. Please bring at least 2 - 3 bags of ice. Ice can be purchased a quick 3 minute drive up the road at the gas station located on the corner of County Road 9 and Airport/County Road 42. Cashtown Corners. There is also a Pizza Pizza, Burger joint and Ice Cream Parlour in the gas station parking lot.

We sell free range pastured farm fresh eggs right here on the farm. If you would like a dozen, please message the host ahead of time and either etransfer or pay cash upon arrival. Many people are addicted to the quality of these eggs, you may find yourself passing through our mini market just to grab a dozen.

We are able to provide a propane tank for the provided BBQ unit. Please put in a special request for the propane unit via message to the host. Payment can be made via etransfer or cash on day of arrival.
