Our farming adventure began in the Spring of 2015 on a 15 acre farm. In 2020 we moved to a 75-acre farm just outside of Woodstock, Ontario. Carl's childhood passion of animal husbandry was given a new purpose when our family made a conscious decision to change the way we related to our food. We began a family quest to eat locally and sustainably. As our little farm grew we developed relationships with our greater community and Greener Pastures was born! As our farming adventure continues, we are loving that each day brings new opportunities for learning. We invite you to join us as we continue to seek greener pastures! Heart of the Forest

100% an amazing idea for camping!

I cannot express to you how lovely this place is! My gf and I planned to only stay the only night but we stayed an extra and tried the other site!!! Both of them are so beautiful and cozy! They have wonderfully dogs! Brooks and Ruby, who will absoultely steal your heart and your bed (they are the most gracious your guides I've ever had) If you want a chance to stay somewhere quiet and cheap and absolutely gorgeous and fun to walk around! Please please stay here atleast 2 nights! You'll get to expierence the whole farm and the animals! This was probably the best camping expierecne I've had in a long time and I can't wait to come back! The owners are so welcoming and gracious with their land and animals!! Plus we got a little picnic which was ADORABLE!!! 12/10 would stay again !

The Fringe

We had a wonderful night at the farm on the fridge site. Very beautiful and great to walk around with our dogs. The farm shop was great and we stocked up on some local products which we enjoyed at our beautiful site!

The Fringe

The Fringe was the best Hipcamp we’ve camped at yet . We were greeted by Andrea on arrival. On welcoming us she reminded us that we were welcome to roam and enjoy . We enjoyed the privacy, tranquility and even the sounds of the animals and seeing the family “do chores” together. Being from the farm also … we felt right and home and had a great little getaway .

Heart of the Forest

Overall, the owner’s description was pretty accurate and they were responsive and nice to work with. However, we were led astray by some of the other reviews which mentioned clean bathroom facilities. We were disappointed to find that there was just a porta potty but this wasn’t the fault of the owners. It was also very buggy which made the experience less enjoyable. All par for the course but it just didn’t turn out to be the experience we were hoping.

Lovely stop

A beautiful farm and cute camp sites. Our particular site was road-facing (would have been good to know that ahead of time, we might have booked a different site but maybe not, it was really fine and low traffic + 100yd from the road). Everything was maintained, clean, and cute. We would not hesitate to stay here again.
