Creature comforts
Enjoy the comforts of home in nature at some pitches — including real toilets, showers, and kitchen.
We built this home after Gerry and his dad sold their garden centre/nursery. Now Gerry is retired from running a lawn care service and Rosemary is recently retired from being the administrator of a seniors’ complex/nursing home. In our spare time, we like to garden, harvest veggies, and freeze and can produce. We enjoy entertaining friends and family- you may meet some during your stay here. We raised a family of four boys here. (they say they were our first Airbnb guests- but they were the non-paying type.) Our location is super quiet. In the mornings, you may hear the birds singing. At night, there may be a few crickets or a tree frog singing. You can walk down our quiet road past dairy farms and fields of corn, soybeans and hay. Often you will not meet a car or neighbor. Our outdoors has been set up to accommodate 2 family reunions and 2 church picnics each summer. Sometimes that could be 40-75 people enjoying the pool, hammocks, patio and the grounds. Whether you are looking for a relaxing vacation or whether you are here on a work assignment. We look forward to having you spend time at our home. This campsite is out in the field on a quiet country road. You’ll love tranquility of this place because of peace and beauty of nature, the views, the location, the people. There are several areas where you can set up your tent near the woods or out in the open. No electricity or water at the campsite itself. Shared washroom with shower available. Firewood available on site for small fee. Guests have use of shared heated swimming pool. The beaches of Lake Erie are 30-40 minutes away.

I stayed at the Fitz Farm Manor for 2 nights. The hosts Gerry & Rosemary were very hospitable. The campsite area was flat and I had a choice of were to set up. The grounds were lovely with interesting flowers and plants. The barbeque came equipped with gas and utensils as was the outdoor sink with wash cloth, scrubbers and soap. Washroom was well equipped as well. I can't think of a thing that the hosts didn't think about. They covered everything. My boyfriend was up for one night. We had a great time! Thank you hosts! Well done!

Beautiful camp site
This farm camp site is a hidden gem. The field is very flat and the scenery is really pleasing to both the eye and mind. There are beautiful flowers, home-grow vegetables such as tomato, squash etc. My children and I enjoyed the heated swimming pool very much, we played badminton and rested in the hammock, it was very relaxed camp experience. More importantly, this camp field only provides 3 camp sites, very quite and peaceful, which you don’t get to see huge crowds of people like in the park. It was quite enough for my special need child to stay calm and not be disturbed . The host Gary’s family also generously provide fridge and BBQ stove to the campers who are in need. My family and the family who camped next to us both like the Gary’s farm camp field so much that we decided to extend our stay from 2 nights to 3 nights! Highly recommended!
