Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
50 acres total located in the Appalachian foothills. Just a few miles down the road from Wildcat Hollow and the Helmick mill covered bridge. On site, there is a 3 acre spring fed pond with fish. Trails, fields and wooded camping. Atvs are welcome. Swimming at your own risk. Boats are allowed. You may also use the boats on site. Please be aware of stumps just below the waters surface throughout the entire pond. There are Indian mounds and markers nearby. Part of the site was also a coal mine in the 1950s.There is a 3 acre pond with a small island. There are paddle boats here. You are welcome to bring your own boat or kayak. Swimming and fishing. Camping is possible around the pond. There are trails for walking. There is a 20x20 stage in the fields used for bands, or other events. Wooded areas are cleared and perfect for camping. Landscaping and art installations may be found throughout the property. You can access most places in 2 wheel drive, or park close by. The gravel hill going to the fields is steep, please drive slowly and carefully. Parking is also welcome at the bottom, near the pond. 35/night plus 10/extra person. Kids 13 and under free.
