This campsite offers peace and tranquility just a stone's throw from NYC, making it a perfect escape from the city hustle. Reviews consistently highlight the serene environment, well-maintained grounds, and the warm hospitality of hosts like Eric and Suzy. Many campers appreciated the added charm of horses nearby and the convenience of trails for hiking. The site is often praised for its privacy, making it an ideal spot for those seeking solitude or a quiet family outing.
Great campsite, Eric is very friendly and even came out to make sure the ground wasn't too soft. Isn't the most private campsite as you don't have tree cover but still quite and peaceful. The horses were beautiful to see and the surrounding towns and hikes are well worth it.
Site is beautiful, everything was perfect. Eric was friendly and we had a great time. Horses in the morning had their pijamas because it was so cold, and our kids loved the horses. 100% recommended place.
Even in the middle of winter, this campsite provided an amazing outdoor experience. The solitude and quiet made it one of the most relaxing trips we’ve had.
It was cold, but with the right gear—warm layers, firewood, and a good sleeping bag—we stayed comfortable.
It's also close to NYC. We’ll definitely be back for another trip!
