Nomadic camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Primitive, but Private & Secure. Evolving. Minutes from the Delaware River, rafting/canoeing/kayaking, fishing, hiking, biking, the Hawk's Nest, public parks, Kadampa Buddhist Temple (Glen Spey), and other local attractions including up & coming Downtown Port Jervis with new restaurants and a brewery. Within a short drive of Historic Milford, PA, Bethel Woods, the Forestburgh Playhouse & Tavern and Resorts World Casino & Water Park. Essentially where NY, NY, and PA touch. Central to whatever brings you to the area.
Just getting started and accommodations will evolve. For now, what you pack in, you are expected to pack out. No running water. Campfires limited to small and controlled fires using designated fire rings/pits, and taking weather and dryness conditions into consideration. Sites further from the road where vehicle access is very limited are at greater risk of fire issues. Guests are expected to be very responsible in this area above all. Firewood is abundant currently and guests are welcome to anything already down within the designated camping perimeter. No chainsaws or cutting of standing trees. Ample parking within walking distance of campsite. Will be able to accommodate Van camping very shortly, if not already (nearer to public road). We are a large private residential property with our home located on the property but far enough away from most planned campsites. Guests are requested to respect "no access" areas and neighboring property lines as posted/designated . Our land is largely surrounded by undeveloped land, and while not ours, further adds to the potential isolation and feeling of deep woods camping. While multiple sites are planned, we are beginning with just a couple. Few rules, quiet (relatively) and respectful is all we ask, adherence to local laws of course. Adult oriented but all are welcome. Zero discrimination. A no-judgement zone (Nudists are welcome (watch for ticks) and we'll be sure to let you know if any are expected during your stay with us). Need a quiet place away from the crowded local campsites? We may be what you want.
