My property is in the heart of Bear Swamp Forest which has miles of hiking, mountain biking, x-country skiing and snowmobiling trails. Bit of history: Glen Haven – A hamlet on the southwestern shore of Skaneateles Lake. It was the location of "water cure" resorts in the 19th century. The property has a large clearing, 40 feet before turning into cabin entrance. That clearing is perfect for large RVs and boat trailers, etc, to park or unhook! There is parking in front of the cabin, which is big enough for three or four trucks. About 200 feet before the site right on Ridge Road. I have another pull in area cleared away where you can turn trailers around and park trailers or pitch tents or use that space however, you would like. Compost toilet is located outside of cabin. No hot water, no running water. Portable camping sink located inside cabin with cold water only. The cabin is totally off grid. Portable generators available for use. Four-wheel-drive vehicle is highly recommended.

We stayed one night on our way to Vermont. It was easy to find Lauren’s site. The lake is close by and gorgeous. Good food nearby too! The road is dirt but easily traveled. Barely any traffic at all just a couple vehicles and bicycles. The state forest is across the street and very lush and green with plenty of wildflowers. Lauren was proactive had tiki torches, chairs, metal fire pit, grill with wood charcoal and starter for us. She even delivered some firewood but lot about to gather. Her cabin is going to be amazing when done; It is under construction so expect some random building material around. But, it is a solid base camp to explore the area.
