Crookerville Mill is a significantly historical site where the first Grist Mill within the Unadilla Territory was built (circa 1784). Ruins of the Old Mill foundation and damn are still in place. The property is mostly wooded and opens up to a vast and secluded River plain. It is unique in that it is completely secluded yet conveniently located just outside the beautiful village of Unadilla New York
Picturesque solitude will surround your camp where you can return to nature in grand fashion on the beach of your own private island. Fish, swim, canoe, kayak,or search for fossil rocks. Put your lounge chair into the river and let the water run beneath you.
Bald eagles thrive and are a common sight and can be seen daily on the property. Watch Beavers busily swimming in and out the Lodge as they meticulously maintain their dam.
A sense of awe is inspired as you become entranced by the transition of sunset to a spectacular celestial light show of stars. The crackling of your cozy campfire plays perfect harmony to the soft music played by the sound of water running through stone.
Beautiful place
The river is amazing
John was a great host, very flexible with our schedule
He offer kayaks for us to use and provided a lot of wood for our fire.
Only down side to it is very close to the highway and we found some nails and glass on the floor. We were also able to find fossils in the river which was so much fun for the kids :)
John was friendly, and accomodating, also offered several places to park for the night.
