Large open paddock with easy access from Monaro Highway, great for camping with amazing views of the mountains.
The access road is dirt road. Ok for caravans.
Dog friendly (must be well behaved around our animals and not chase them). We have Alpacas & Donkeys in our paddock near the camp area so your dog must be kept under control at all times (Donkeys hate dogs!).
We have a composting toilet available for campers to use.
Mobile phone reception in the area is around 3-4 bars 4G on Optus and 3-4 bars 3G on Telstra.
There is no access to the rivers or creeks near our property in Michelago as all land along the waterways in Michelago is private property. The closest public access to the river is at Angle Crossing or Bredbo (just ask and I can give you a map)
Please bring your own wood for camp fires or you can purchase a barrow of bush wood from us in the extras. We prefer you not to collect your own wood (other than starter sticks/branches) as we are trying to maintain logs, branches, ground cover on the ground for native birds, lizards, etc.
All camp fees are being used to rehabilitate our property with plants that are native to our area and restore the land.
Great spot, super convenient for a quick trip from Canberra. The campsite was well-maintained with good facilities. Belinda was lovely and we really liked all her animals.
This was a great camp site overlooking rolling hills, the view from the campsite was fabulous, especially during sunrise and sunset. The farm animals added a lovely touch to the experience. Toilets were clean and the camp site well was well laid out.
Directions and signage were easy to follow. The campsite had a clean composable toilet, a level space and friendly farm animals.
It was a lovely spot for the night.
This was a gorgeous spot to stay. I was the only one there which I was grateful for as I hadn't realised that all the camp-site are beside one another. The toilet is in a separate paddock with the donkeys and alpacas. The view was magnificent and I saw so much wildlife it was sublime
I had a great time and would 100% come back again. I drive a Yaris and was able to access the site - just take it slow and steady over the unsealed roads.
Loved waking up to the beautiful sunrise over the mountains while surrounded by a family of Roos.
The animals are all lovely, the alpacas even escorted me up the path to the gate.
Compost toilet is incredibly well maintained.
