Your easy access stop for the night for traveler's heading north and south on the east coast freeway of NSW, Perfect accommodation between Sydney and Byron Bay, Gold Coast, and Brisbane. Hodge Lodge Grounds NSW is on a sealed road and close to the A1 motorway. No getting stuck in the mud, or going off the beaten track because we offer a large internal heavy-duty driveway! Large vehicles can turn around and drive on solid ground inside the property on some of our dispersed sites. Make your trip into an experience as you relax by the fire-pit with your beverage of choice, enjoy hot shower and cozy king bed of Sunrise Hut. All the comforts of home and more as soon as you unlock the door! You can drive any size vehicle into our expansive grounds on our heavy-duty driveway that leads you to your cabin, powered or native camp site. Large site. Private space. Stay safe in our gated 11-acre private property. Here you can enjoy your music and social atmosphere, have your wood delivered via 'extras booking' for your evening by the fire pit, and wake up to the sounds of our local birds! Situated between the 3 brother mountains NSW, North Brother, Middle Brother and South Brother. We're located within minutes to the beaches which is ideal for swimming, fishing, surfing and walking the local break walls. Crowdy Bay National Park and Middle Brother National Park for those 4WD sporting and adventure enthusiasts. Close to the local townships for shopping, dining and visiting local attractions of Kew, Harrington, North Haven and Laurieton for those keen to enjoy the outdoors.

Hodge Lodge Native Camp

Very convenient

Conveniently located next to the highway. This of course means some highway noise but that didn’t bother us. Also near the train line. Peter was very helpful and welcoming and kindly refunded the wood I didn’t need as it was warm. Appreciated my dog could run in the paddock.

Hodge Lodge Powered Camp

Just right for a quick stopover

We needed a quick layover with power near good roads and this fitted that brief perfectly. Peter was waiting for us in spite of our late arrival and showed us our spot. In the morning we could see we were in a pleasant flat field with a pond, perfect for taking breakfast. Our hosts Peter and Nadine, gave us helpful advice about the scenic route into Port Macquarie our next stop.

Quick stop over

Great open space, close to the highway. Peter very helpful showing us to our space. We had a powered site, which also had access to water if we needed it.

Avoid!

When we booked I sent a message saying we’d arrive between 5-5:30, then when I was 15 minutes away I sent them another message and another when I arrived. I wasn’t able to ring as I don’t have an Australian sim so after waiting 10 minutes where we’d been told to, we went to the house. The lady was very unimpressed to see us and the man (having told us we were in the wrong place and we should have rang) pointed us vaguely in the direction of a tree. The ground wasn’t flat and where he sent us to park up was about 20 metres from a train track (which was exceptionally loud) and 200 or so metres from the motorway (also very loud!)

Hodge Lodge Powered Camp

Great camping site

It’s the first time we used Hipcamp and were pleasantly surprised with our adventure! A very nice powered site for our camper 👍 Peter and Nadine were great hosts. We would recommend having a look at the different accommodations available!
