Binghi Station Located approximately 4.5hours from Brisbane, Queensland, or 1.5 hour drive west of Tenterfield, New South Wales. Binghi Station, once a large sheep station, was a thriving tin and gem mine from the late 1800 to mid 1900. Set on 4,000 acres of natural granite rock country and untouched overgrowth of lush tea tree bushlands, the sheer beauty of the land will, without a doubt, leave you breathless of its raw natural beauty. Binghi Station surrendered to the ravaging bush fires of 2019, however, after this devastation came some much needed rainfall which brought hope; the creation of new life in the form of rich, vibrant green country not seen since the 1980’s. You can explore endlessly on this raw outback property. Discover secret hideouts, come and enjoy a swim under our flowing waterfall (for those brave enough to during the winter months!) and simply relax and soak in pure wildlife beneath a million stars in the night sky. Binghi Station is designed for the 4x4 enthusiasts. In other words we strongly recommend access by 4WD only as the entry 6klm driveway is rugged and very bumpy in most places due to heavy rain fall past 12 months. Please ask for more details if necessary should you have any concerns based on your equipment. Its an ongoing maintenance. The Secret Gorge site is suited to swags, tents and camper trailers. It is not suited for Caravans over 15' due to a tight corner. Other site locations are suited to off-road 4WD caravans and camper trailers. Binghi Station - an extraordinary place to make some truly wonderful family memories. :-)

Sandy Falls Campsite
Highly Recommended
Binghi Station is an incredible escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. With a variety of stunning swimming holes, endless star-gazing opportunities, and abundant wildlife in the surrounding bush, it’s a nature lover's paradise. We were fortunate to enjoy fantastic weather for most of our stay, which allowed us to fully appreciate the breathtaking waterfalls cascading over the granite rock shelves. The scenery was truly unforgettable. Adrian, our host, was exceptionally accommodating and made sure our experience was smooth and enjoyable. We managed to access the property with a Ram 1500 and a 23ft full off-road caravan. While the journey was challenging at times, requiring a 4WD and a slow, cautious approach, it only added to the adventure and made the destination even more rewarding. The addition of pit toilets and rubbish bins were a great touch, we also pumped water from the creek for our shower tanks. We absolutely loved our time here and are already looking forward to our next visit!

Sandy Falls Campsite
One of the best Hipcamp sites we have done so far. Everything was there. Wilderness, private spot, 4x4 challenge...etc. We were looking for a 4 days kind of "retreat" and we found it. Thanks to Adrian and his lovely wife who respect that too. Will defintely return.

Site 1 - The Secret Gorge
We’ll be back!
Beautiful spot in a pretty part of the world, we loved how secluded the site was and the provision of the shower and toilet was such a nice touch not to mention the tables, lights and fire pit … and personal beach! (It certainly felt like a beach to us but with way less people!) Dog heaven and it certainly felt like heaven to us! Good to note the last 45 minutes to the property here is gravel and about the same to the camp site from the front gate. The 4wd access is really no joke. We have an off road 13 ft caravan and it was a good challenge.

Jump'n Rock
White noise - be gone!!
Well firstly it’s fun just entering the property! And it’s huge!!! You have to know how to 4WD, have patience and enjoy the reward once you get to your camp! The camp spots are fabulous and we visited them all. Jumpn rock pool is amazing. Bring good water shoes so you can scramble the granite boulders with ease. We did it in thongs but it would have been better! There are clean pit toilets available. The secret gorge is fabulous for ease to walk to (Sandy)especially with young kids. The water is amazing. The waterfall campsite is also brilliant. Adrian, Oratai and their twin daughters are a delight and they were definitely our people!!! Could not recommend this place highly enough. Get off the beaten track people, switch off and your mental health will love you for it. Our dogs had a ball. Didn’t even see a snake! But lots of kangaroos and lizards. Goats woke us up with their goat song! Adrian has hung solar lights for ambience which is so beautiful. Bring back the bush!!!

Site 1 - The Secret Gorge
We had the pleasure of staying at Binghi and it is an amazing space. We had another couple staying with us who also thoroughly enjoyed the location. The space was pristinely clean and the watering hole was a god send to relax in during the day. Adrian was a fantastic host who answered any questions we had and was also nice enough to get us ice when we ran out. The track in can be a little challenging if you have a small SUV but we had an Everest and a triton which handled it well. I highly recommend the stay as it is nice and secluded and is a truely beautiful place.

Adrian and Oratai are just the best hosts. They have created a great place to camp with as much privacy as possible. There are terrific swimming holes on your doorstep and camp sites are well set out. Plenty of wildlife and classic Australian bush surrounds. Adrian goes out of his way to make sure you're having a good time. Highly recommend.
