Fantastic spot!!! Rock was great to talk to and it’s nice of them to share this little spot of heaven. Quiet and hardly any light pollution! Highly recommended!!
Rock met us at the end of the pavement and brought us about 1 mile in on a gravel road. Our campsite was private and had the most beautiful view of the Florida Mountains. We flew our paramotors and wished we could have stayed a few more days. Ruth and Rock are very sweet couple. Couldn't ask for better.
Had a wonderful stay at freedom fields. Rock met me in advance and guided me to the camp spot. (Definitely needed as I don’t think I would have found it on my own)
I was the only one there and it was unbelievable. The location is absolutely stunning with a sunset on one side and a sunrise on the other. Can’t beat it. It was so quiet. No traffic/human noise around. I heard coyotes at dusk which was amazing.
Highly recommend. And stay at least two nights if you can.
They were such a gracious host. They even came to meet me since I came after dark to make sure that I found the place. All quiet and peaceful it was amazing thank you so much!
Really enjoyed our time at Freedom Field. Rock and Jane were great hosts. The desert scenery, night sky, and sunsets were beautiful. We enjoyed riding our bikes on the dirt roads!
The road coming in is very narrow and lined with mesquite bushes. Rock was busy trimming them but still some work required to make better access for motor homes.
It is very remote, but peaceful, and they are fully willing to meet you, before you get to the dirt roads, to guide you in. And even back out again when you leave!
