Back to Skoolie Night!
This Skoolie was such a fun and unique adventure for the 2 of us for a night on a cross country trip! We got in after dark and there was a string of cafe lights outside the bus, making it easy to find, as well as cute and welcoming. Self-check-in was simple. (Careful going up the narrow stairs.) This place was an interesting midway point between camping and glamping. It was our first experience using a compost toilet, which we’ve been curious about after reading an article on them. (Was like an indoor outhouse, but not smelly. And there’s only a curtain, no door.) The bus is an intimate space, as you can tell by the photos, so people need to feel comfortable together. The bed was very comfortable and we both sleep well. The AC works great—quickly cools the space with a pleasant, low white noise. It was a treat to watch our current comedy show on Netflix and then cartoons in the morning with our morning coffee. (Coffee, filters, and pot provided; bring your own mugs, creamer, sugar, etc.) Brooke was quick to respond and helpful. She also accommodated us with a later checkout. Thanks, Brooke, for a totally unique experience on our road trip!

Sleeping in a School Bus
The renovated school bus was adorable and it was such a nice place to sleep. There is a huge king-sized bed in the back, a bench that folds out into a bed, and a two-story bunk bed for the kids. The king-sized bed is so fluffy you fall asleep as soon as you hit the pillow. It has everything you could want, from a small washing machine, a microwave, a sink, a countertop in the kitchen, a cupboard, and a shower with a toilet. Everything is solar-powered, and the toilet is the composting kind, but it's easy to use and cleanup only consists of tying up a bag and tossing it out. My mom and I both loved staying here and we'd do it again if we ever get back to the area.

With kids
The bus was cute and cozy. Didn't like the fact that the toilet wasn't working. The hole had a trash bag to hold everything. Brooke was extremely nice though.
