Located 1 mile from the Red River Gorge in Pine Ridge KY between Mt. Parkway Exit 40 East and Exit 40 West and 8 miles to Natural Bridge State Park. The Kilns provides an area for rest and relaxation for those wanting to camp. while enjoying the outdoors. The KILNS got its name from large charcoal kilns that was a thriving family business in the late 50's early 60's. Although they are no longer in functioning, they are part of our history. The camping area is nestled on a small family farm with 5 acres designated for PRIMATIVE Tent or Van Camping. The property is surrounded by beautiful woodlands and a lush green field, freshly manicured. It is easy access to Red River Gorge, Local Restaurants, General Stores all while secluded from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Come relax and enjoy, we look forward to seeing you! Our group loved tent camping at the Kilns! Kimberly was super flexible about sort of our group arriving at different times and met us when we arrived to make sure we were settled and helped us get a fire started. Such kind hosts and a beautiful property!

The Kilns
The Kilns provided a lovely spot for relaxed camping. The hosts were incredibly nice and accommodating, even delivering firewood each night. We arrived after sunset, so our hosts met us at the entrance and showed us to our site where they already had a fire going!

Hallowayne Milky Way!
Beautiful spot on private land. The Hallowayne event was a good time with great music and many talented musicians! Camp host was very helpful with communications before arrival and was welcoming on site. Near many trails and sight seeing around the Red River Gorge. Great bar food and ice cream shop nearby also. Bonus was an amazing view of the Milky Way over camp! Check it out 😊👍

lovely hosts; great sites
Kim and Scott were very welcoming and helpful! Their property is lovely. Great views of night skies. Wooded and open sites with lots of firewood on site. Kids had a blast running around the field. Portapots were clean and finding it was super easy.

Weekend at The Kilns!!
The Kilns was incredible! Our camping spot was good size, far enough away from other campers to have our own good time, but close enough to make friends with the other campers and dogs! The sites were well laid out and clean. Perhaps the cleanest ports- potties we’ve ever used also- a definite win! We are already looking at dates to plan our next trip back! An additional bonus is how kind and welcoming Kim is. She met us and welcomed us in even though we arrived well after dark!
