Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
We invite you to see what this land has to offer when we care in sustainable ways. A variety of flora and fauna are found here, from prairie plains to wooded creeks with clear water and flagstone foundation. Beautiful trails to hike, bike, ride or drive (horse carriage) are well marked with safety and good humor in mind. While we have paths mowed, they are not mowed weekly like lawns, so expect a bit of nature length on occasion. Bring your choice of bug deterrent for a comfortable stay. Be one with nature, and also a part of what is to come. From berries in the summer to eggs year round, we hope to offer a fully sustainable experience Opportunities to take part in this labor of love are bountiful! More info on request.Come explore the natural prairie and wooded water ways.  Secluded on over 100 acres but close to the highway for ease of travel, at RC Estate you will find manicured trails, rolling meadows, multiple camping spaces, plenty of shade and regenerative and sustainably kept land and animals nearby.  Star gazing is amazing here as well as the beautiful sun rises and sunsets.          Wild life is alive at night, with sounds of coyotes, owls, and bull frogs.  Our guardian dogs are likely to be nearby with their watchful eyes on your site to keep them at a safe distance. (We ask that you do not feed them, please.) Surrounded by local wineries, & historical sites, near by to wildlife refuges, & boutique shopping there aren't any shortages of things to do in our area!  Even book a trolly or horse and carriage to take you on a tour to Rutlader or Nighthawk winery and back!  If it is a must, responsibly kept pets are welcome.  We are a working farm and ask that consideration of our land and livestock must be considered during your stay.  Consider having cash on hand for additional goods & services while onsite! Make this a stop to be repeated through the years and watch the land grow and change with responsible management.  We thank you for your consideration of becoming part of a movement! These sites are NOT drive up sites.  There is walking to the closest site of 100 ft to the furthest at 600 ft.   Arrangements via messaging may be made prior to check in, to assist you in getting to your site.  Not always available.  Follow RC Estate on Facebook and Instagram (@RCEstateKS). *RC Estate Association is a Private Membership Association operating within the Private Domain. Beautiful place to camp!
This was a great camping trip! It was the first for our 5 year old twins. We were the only ones there, and there’s lots of land to explore. My kids loved petting the horses when they came up to the fence. Would definitely recommend. Since you hike your things into most of the camping spots, brining a wagon was handy to haul our stuff. Were excited to go again!

Camping at RC estate
The location was very quiet, secluded and peaceful. We stayed in one of the back campsites that require a bit of a walk but were well maintained and mowed nicely with plenty of shade in our spot. A Couple observations - One thing that threw us off to start was that the field you enter had not been mowed so we weren’t sure we were in the right spot. One of our hosts did come out when he saw us there confused and explained he wasn’t aware we were coming and apologized it wasn’t mowed. (We booked thru hip-camp) He explained the sites which was appreciated. I know it is “primitive camping” but a Couple thoughts - if owner had mowed a path so we didn’t have to push thru 300’ of thick pasture to get to the nicely mowed section and not get wet and covered in ticks it would have been awesome and the family would be happier. Second - We were aware that it’s a working farm and I love dogs and own a farm myself but the guy laying 5’ outside my tent most of the night barking was a bit much. I know they have a job but still. All in all I think the owners have a great thing started but hopefully they can improve a few things.

Tent camping with littles
I took my two young boys camping on Lea’s property. We had fun exploring the trails and being away from the city. We opted for the Ranger ride to get our gear in, as it would have been a long walk to carry everything myself, though there was the option to camp near the entrance where we parked our car, we opted to be more in the wooded area. We hoped to see some of the farm animals, but none where in view during our stay, but we could hear cows in the distance. Once we had settled in for the night we heard sniffing outside our tent and looked through the window to see our guardian for the night, one of the ranch’s guard dogs, a big friendly dog just doing it’s job. It was cool to see a working dog in action! Whenever the coyotes started yipping, Lea’s dog and all the neighboring farm dogs would start barking to warn them off. It was loud, but we weren’t Bothered by it and it made my boys feel safe and excited that the dog was “protecting” them. The boys had fun throwing hedge apples around. It was a nice getaway!
