Bring your own tent and sleeping gear and camp with us alongside a private pond. Listen to the frog songs while you relax away from the hustle and bustle. We provide a wood fire pit, wood when we’ve got it available, propane grill, charcoal grill (BYO charcoal), fresh city water from a hose, utensils, a pot and pan and a camp style toilet. Please note that while we try to take the hassle out of camping for you, this is still very much a rustic camping experience. You may want to bring things like a bright flash light, a cooler and bug spray. We cannot control the weather, so reservations are rain or shine!Stay in our beautiful bell tent set along a private pond. Listen to the frog songs while you relax away from the hustle and bustle. The 16 foot tent is fit with a queen size Japanese Shikubuton mattress. Sheets, extra blankets and pillows provided. Twin size cots available upon request. Bedding and pillows are not provided for cots. Cook on either the gas or charcoal grill, or even over the firepit. Take your pick! Cooking essentials including a pot and pan, utensils, plates and silverware, cutting board are all provided. Additional guests can bring their own tents, there is plenty of space to accomodate. Farm in the Woods is a small 501c3 farm animal rescue and sanctuary hidden in the woods of Michigan City, Indiana. We offer rustic camping alongside a large pond. Enjoy your time by relaxing at the waters edge or on the floating dock. Take a stroll through the pear trees and grape vines in the nearby orchard, or go exploring on our private trail through the woods. If that's not enough to keep you busy for the day, you can walk through the 500 acre Ambler Flatwoods directly adjacent to us. If you’d like to meet the residents and learn about the work we do, just let us know! We’re happy to show you around if we’re available.

Love this place!
With kids
Everything was so quaint & perfect here! The fact that they have kitchen supplies & a cleaning station next to the privy was amazing! Nora was so helpful!! The yurt was loaded with blankets & comfort at each turn! We love it here and will def use it again when we go to Indiana!

Glamping at It's Finest
Nora and Simon's property is just lovely. The yurt is set up in a private location, and the ample tree coverage makes it feel pretty secluded. They took great care with soft lighting - there's enough light to see where you're going, but not so much that it detracts from the vibe. The porta potty was very well taken care of, no yuck factor at all. I loved listening to the fountain in the pond & the birds, bugs, and frogs as I settled in for the night. Everything was clean and fresh. Touches like lanterns and battery operated handheld fans are appreciated! The bedding was cozy, and I slept pretty well despite being able to feel the support slats whenever I tried to sleep on my side. The only even remotely negative things I noticed were the noise from Interstate 94 traffic and occasional airplanes flying overhead, and the mosquitoes. (But hey, it's June in the Midwest and the yurt is by a pond... I was prepared for bugs!) The nature noises and fountain drowned out a lot of the "outside world" noise. Overall, I'm bummed I only had one very short night to spend here! I hope to come back some day.

The glamping test was as beautiful as the pics! Fire pit, chairs, tiki lights and grill were all great amenities and we appreciated the secluded side. Toliet was pristine!
