The Shoshone and Nez Perce Native American tribes spent their summers in this area hunting and fishing the many streams in this valley. Trapper's used the area until the U.S. market collapse of the beaver skin top-hat in the late 1830's. Mormon pioneers began settling here in the 1890's. My great-grandparents settled in Teton Valley after moving from Nebraska in 1917. They farmed this land; growing potatoes, barley and hay. Today we raise alfalfa/grass hay that we feed to our horses. In the bottom of our field south of the campsite is Trail Creek, which is the headwaters of the Teton River. It flows out of the southern Teton mountain range in Wyoming and into Idaho. This water eventually joins the mighty Snake River near Rexburg, Idaho as it continues it's journey to the pacific ocean. Summer's here are usually warm sunny days with cool, chilly nights. Our location sits at an elevation of 6,300' above sea level.

Dave's campsite in Victor, ID is a peaceful and convenient spot for travelers. While the site lacks basic amenities like water and electricity, it offers a spacious, level area with grass and scenic mountain views. Campers appreciate the quiet location near town and a local brewery, making it a great base for exploring the nearby Jackson area. Though some feel the price could be lower, Dave's quick communication and helpfulness stand out in the reviews.

Good spot for my purpose.
45 ft travel trailer
I needed a reserved place to stay one night while I traveled on to Jackson Wyoming and back. I didn't want to tow my trailer over Teton Pass. The site is easy to get to, and easy to enter and get set up. It is large enough for large RVs, its clean and level and covered with grass. (field grass) There is a picnic table. There is no fire allowed, no water or electric available. It served my purpose but I do feel it was more expensive than it should have been for what it was. Dave communicated quickly and frequently with text messages. He also stopped by to check on us when we arrived.

We were just at the max size with a 45-ft motorhome but fit perfectly in our spot. Dave was super helpful and accommodating, even with our plans changing slightly last minute. Spot was clean and well marked. We had activities planned in Jackson, and this was a perfect place to stay at night for us. Thanks again, Dave!!

My daughter and I took a very last minute trip to the Victor area. Dave was very quick to respond to out request to reserve, less than 1 hour. It was dark when we got there and I wasn't 100%sure of where I was going. Dave was quick to come and assist me. Dave's place was spacious and quiet. Just what we needed!
