We live on one acre adjacent to the Jennings Forest State preserve Jennings State Forest (https://www.fdacs.gov/Forest-Wildfire/Our-Forests/State-Forests/Jennings-State-Forest) about 1/2 hour west of Jacksonville. The forest has hiking, primitive camping, kayaking, swimming ( in the Black Creek, a black colored waterway due to the natural tannins in the water) as well as hunting by permit. We have fruit trees and flowers on the property as well as a small flock of free range chickens. At times we have baby rabbits and meat chickens, which are enclosed. The wood shop is used for creation of various projects. Jacksonville is a short drive away offering various city type activities. If you drive a little further you can get to the ocean.Enter through the circular driveway and hook up to the water and electric next to our carport. The RV will be about 30 feet away from our house, but the front of it will open to our chicken coop and adjacent patio area, giving you lots of privacy. The opening of the RV will face north so you will have plentiful shade. You will be surrounded by beautiful ornamental trees and flowers. There will be a chiminea for fires. We have a hammock set up area behind one of our sheds, next to the compost pile, in a shady area. Just ask for the hammock as we keep it inside most of the time. We have two bikes you can ride, they are old but they get the job done. The state forest is at the end of our street , about 100 feet away for easy access to bike riding and hiking. As you explore the forest, you will find various trails, swimming holes and native vegetation. If you like to hunt, you can do that with permission from the Forest Ranger. There are two supermarkets within 8 miles, and several convenience stores within 3 miles. All the roads are paved.
