One of the highlights of a stay at Treflach Farm is the food and drink that’s available on site. The Leyland Arms is the site’s own rustic pub – with local ales and cider stocked in a fridge and a bar with spirits infused with local botanics. It’s operated on an honesty basis. The space doubles as a camper’s kitchen and place to hang out too. There’s also a farm shop selling home-reared meat, home-grown vegetables and baked goods which are made on site. As a result there’s little need to go elsewhere – but if you do need something that’s not in stock, the closest shop is in Trefonen (two miles). There’s a pub in the village too, The Barley Mow which serves food and its own ales, brewed in the neighbouring Offa’s Dyke Brewery. Another pub, which is even closer, is The Royal Oak in Treflach itself (just over a mile away). It also serves food. For more choice of shops and places to eat, head for Oswestry, just under four miles away. It has a market on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
