It’s not hard to relax with a spot of Slow Glamping at Tillislow Farm. The whole place has been designed with relaxation in mind. It’s a single shepherd’s hut with a hot tub tucked away in a one acre woodland surrounded by nature instead of neighbours. It’s off grid and without wifi, the kind of place where you can sit back and read, play a game of cards, or simply do nothing at all. And once the stresses and strains of daily life have melted away, you might venture out from your woodland hideaway to see what’s out and about. Tillislow Farm is in rural Devon almost equidistant between Dartmoor and the county’s north coast. Both are within 20 miles: close enough to visit on day trips, far enough to ignore if you want to stay put and simply relax.
The shepherd’s hut looks the part and has an authentic feel. It’s a simple space that’s clad in wavy tin and warmed by a log-burner inside. There’s space for sitting and sleeping with a flushing loo and a sink as well. For everything else you’ll need to step outside. This glade within the trees contains the hot tub, an outdoor shower, a fire pit, your dining table, and a kitchen that’s cleverly sheltered in a converted farm silo. It’s simple, stylish and rustically, luxuriously outdoorsy; a space that’s all yours to share only with the woodland wildlife.
You can wander the woodland and the wider farm at your leisure, even popping down to the River Carey for a wild swim if you want to. It’s a short drive to Strawberry Fields Farm Shop and PYO if you want some wholesome goodies for lunch or dinner but if you don’t want to cook there are nearby pubs serving food. Walking and cycling are great ways to explore the countryside at a slower pace here and Dartmoor National Park offers plenty of places to escape the crowds. But sea air is an option too, with some of Devon’s best beaches just half an hour’s drive away.

Our shepherds hut sleeps two and is kitted out with everything you need for a perfect getaway. Take a dip in the wood-fired hot tub, cook with a difference in the converted silo and warm up next to the fire pit. Powered by solar and kept flowing from our very own spring - we're off-grid and eco-friendly.

Please note; the water on site comes from our spring and is for the hot tub, showering and cleaning. It has not been treated for drinking, so please bring your own bottled water with you. Don't worry if you forget, we'll get some for you :)
