Creature comforts
Enjoy the comforts of home in nature — including real toilets, showers, and kitchen.
An exclusive, riverside, glamping meadow on Bodmin Moor, ideal for swimming and hiking.

Wildish Cornwall is an ideal combination of wild camping and luxury glamping. Slap-bang in the centre, between Cornwall’s north and south coasts, Broom Park Farm offers raised, wood-and-canvas glamping pods in a truly wild-feeling riverside meadow. Open your door to views of the River Bedalder, enjoy a barbecue in the communal al fresco dining space, and cool off on hot days with a dip in the natural plunge pool. It's surely one of the finest hideaways on all of Bodmin Moor.

As its name suggests, Wildish Cornwall is wild… ish. This means that it has all your amenities, but it’s set within a ruggedly beautiful location. The surrounding wildflower meadow is left freely overgrown, with the pods elevated above a mown patch of grass, backed by towering trees for privacy. There's a composting toilet and off-grid, spring-water shower nearby but, if you need more comforts, there's also a shared converted shipping container in a neighbouring field, home to flushing toilets, a washing machine, a freezer, drinking water, and even a lending library for bookworms. A small pathway from your pod leads to a communal dining space, seating up to eight and sheltered under canvas, and there's a decent food-prep area too.

The site is positioned on the southern edge of Bodmin Moor, making Wildish Cornwall an ideal landing spot for a hiking holiday. Bring a camera to capture the dramatic scenery here, from the striking Cheesewring rock stack atop Stowe's Hill, to the late Neolithic Hurlers Stone Circles. It's a mysterious and magical region, exemplified by the mythology surrounding Dozmary Pool, a striking nearby lake that legend claims is the resting place of King Arthur's sword 'Excalibur'. But while that story may be fantasy, the beauty of Wildish Cornwall's surroundings is very real, and something we recommend seeing for yourself.

Exclusive Use Riverside Meadow (MAX 4 Adults). Located in an area of outstanding natural beauty, and dark sky reserve, this exclusive use sunny meadow is at the end of a lane, surrounded by nature, on the edge of Bodmin moor. Centrally located between the north and south coasts of Cornwall we offer a perfect base to get together with friends and experience all that Cornwall has to offer. Or simply unplug, reconnect with each other, relax and re-wild yourself.

Riverside Meadow Landpods Max4Adult
Camping Without The Work
The Landpod Meadow was spacious but well enclosed, surrounded by a magnificent forest and with access to a gentle river. The communal area was well stocked and provided for, with everything you could need. Both the shower shed and kitchen were perfect and fitted well. The 2 landpods managed to accommodate myself and 6 lads comfortably and so I imagine would be no trouble at all for a large family. The owner, Jon, was welcoming and accommodating to all of our needs. Any price here would be reasonable, it was all perfect and we all agreed that it was a special find we would happily return to : )

Nearby attractions

The site's positioning along the outskirts of Bodmin Moor puts it in a prime location for exploring this vast landscape of ancient monuments and picturesque views. Take a trip around the beautiful Collford Lake, a 10-minute drive from camp, Cornwall's largest inland water with a size equivalent to around 680 football pitches. For a scenic hike, make your way up the steep hills of Brown Willy or Rough Tor, the former being Cornwall's highest peak. Lanydrock House is a 15-minute drive away, a late Victorian country estate with beautiful gardens to meander around. The cafes here are great but you can also find many a great spot for a picnic – be sure to get a tour of the kitchen, which boasts some fascinating history on how this magnificent house used to operate.

Food and drink

London Inn is only a 5-minute drive or a little over a 30-minute walk from the site, a 16th-century former coaching inn located on the old road to London. Situated next to a church, this is a peaceful location for a lively pub, with it serving as a hub for activities in St Neot village. There's live music throughout the year, quiz nights, and an old-school skittle alley. Blisland Inn is a 20-minute drive away, another friendly rural pub with strong ties to its local community, located on the only village Green in Cornwall and having previously won a pub-of-the-year award. It's a champion of real ales, having hosted over 3,000 different variations over the years, and a popular menu of pub classics using local produce – booking ahead is advised (01208 850739).
