Bring your family, friends, and even your horse to Eakley Manor Farm, a peaceful retreat set across 10 acres of farmland and slap-bang between Northampton and Milton Keynes. A cosy shepherd’s hut and spacious bell tent provide stylish and well-equipped glamping options for couples and groups, opposite a bridleway that will transport guests to the ancient woodland of Salcey Forest.

Only two lodgings are available in this hidden plot of North Buckinghamshire countryside, both fully-furnished and providing a similarly cosy stay along with all your home comforts. But don't be fooled by their small stature—a lot of luxury is packed into your accommodation here, from a kingsize bed, fireplace, and full ensuite bathroom in the hut, to the additional beds that can be planted in the bell tent for family trips. Dogs aren't allowed but horses certainly are given the on-site equestrian facilities, with a pleasant field for your filly and links to many bridleways.

Hosts, Mark and Wendy, will provide you with a warm welcome and advice on how to best enjoy your stay, pointing out the myriad of local walks right on your doorstep. First on the agenda should be Salcey Forest, where you can embark on a near-endless number of strolls through wood banks, cycle trails, and even a circuit through the forest on horseback. Water babies will also want to visit Willen Lake, the area's most popular park and host to a number of water-based activities, from windsurfing to an inflatable obstacle course.

Our Luxury Shepherds Hut provides guests with the comfort they need, and a little extra something special. This is a great option for couples. The hut has a king size bed, log burning stove, combination oven, induction hob, kettle, toaster and full size fridge. It is fully furnished with all bedding, towels, crockery and cutlery.

Cedars Shepherds Hut

Love this, romantic and relaxing!

My Husband and I were treated to this romantic break for our Wedding Anniversary. If you want time to de-stress and get back to nature this is the place for you. The directions were clear and driving in, the area was beautiful. Mark greeted us to show us around. Such a lovely host and you can see a lot of thought has gone into it. The hut was beautifully decorated and well equipped with everything you need, including a log burner and TV. The bed was really comfortable and it even has it's own bathroom. There is a patio area outside with comfortable chairs and a fire pit. We totally relaxed with a book and glass of wine. I made a simple supper in the combination oven, we ate sitting at the table and chairs. I can honestly say we didn't want to leave. We will definitely be recommending it to all our family and friends.

Willow Large 5 Mtr Bell Tent

What a lovely place for a quiet getaway ! Stunning setup , and all we needed was there .....chickens and dogs were too sweet ......Trees, fresh air and nature in a great location Highly recommended!

Salcey Forest is a 10-minute walk away, with miles of woodland to explore. Take a 5-minute drive to Grounds Cycle Centre situated on the outskirts of the forest, which will let you hire a bike for the day, then pick up the family cycle trail for a smooth and safe journey. Willen Lake is a 20-minute drive away and is a great day out with plenty to do – Aqua Parcs is its popular inflatable water-based obstacle course, or if you fancy something a little less adrenaline-pumping, you can hire out a pedalo and enjoy the lake or rent out a stand-up paddleboard or kayak.

Food and drink

The Lamb is the nearest pub, a five-minute drive away in the quaint village of Stoke Goldington. Warm and welcoming with occasional music events in its rear garden, have a drink next to the open fire and enjoy home-cooked food, including some award-winning pies – the steak and ale pie comes recommended! There are some great places to eat and drink in Olney, a 10-minute drive from the site. The Courtyard Brasserie is tucked away off the main road just outside of the busy market square, providing a peaceful spot to sit outdoors and try some of their famous pancakes. Alternatively, the Cherry Tree is a very popular modern pub, boasting a stylish upstairs bar serving coffee in the morning and a robust drinks menu for the evening. The cocktails are plentiful and the bubbly is flowing, while its Mediterranean-inspired menu runs the gamut from wood-fired pizza to plenty of gluten-free and vegan options.
