View-tastic camping overlooking Weymouth and the Jurassic Coast, with campfires, good food, and occasional music.

That view. There are good facilities, of course. Friendly hosts, good food, campfires, evening entertainment and all-round good vibes. But it's the constant backdrop of the Jurassic Coast that really makes Bincombe Bumps stand out. It's the thing you'll go away and tell all your friends about. And one of the main reasons you'll be coming back the next summer too.

Sat atop one of the highest hilltops in Weymouth, this family-friendly campsite welcomes tents and campervans on what is, otherwise, a working Dorset farm. Come summer, though, it briefly transforms into one of Weymouth's best campsites, with an ideal destination close to popular beaches.

The farm does have a few extra bells and whistles. There's The Cookhouse, an on-site kitchen that provides freshly cooked breakfasts (daily) and dinners (Thursdays), all prepared using local ingredients and the farm's own meat. And Bincombe Bumps is known for its regular entertainment, hosting live acoustic music in a marquee and even having circus performers dazzle guests in the field.

The view is ever present. Pretty much every pitch has panoramas of the Dorset countryside and over to Weymouth Bay. Weymouth’s sandy beach and bustling town make for a great day out – enjoy a drink or two in the town’s cosmopolitan harbour overlooking the famous drawbridge. Dorchester is also 10 minutes north of the campsite, Dorset’s vibrant county town with some deep history, plenty of places to eat and drink, and surely more museums than any other town of its size.

In short, this is classic South of England camping as it should be: cows in the neighbouring field, campfires beside your tent, good people, good food, and as you watch the sunset across the Jurassic Coast, some remarkably good views too.

Facilities include: - Toilets - Showers - Washing up sinks - Drinking water - Rubbish and recycling - Coffee shop with patisserie, ice creams and light snacks - Ice Pack Exchange - Fire Pits available for hire - Cookhouse open daily for breakfast - Cookhouse and bar open Thursday – Sunday evenings - Car parking next to pitch - Children’s woodland play area

Bincombe Bumps Camping
Family friendly campsite by the sea
Beautiful views of the sea and countryside, lots of space so not to close to other campers. Lovely play area for the kids. Clean and tidy facilitys, food and live music. Nice and quiet at night, but can be very windy as on a high hill.

We will "BinCOMBE" back!
This was our first camping trip. We had a pretty rough start to our day totaling an 8 hour 30 minute journey instead of 4. My goodness wasn't it worth it!! The staff were lovely and the site is beautifully located on top of a hill with GREAT views! Live entertainment over the weekend which made it more welcoming. We really enjoyed the "pitch where you like" aspect of it as then gives you options to get a group of people together in a circle and have a camp fire in the middle. You also have the ability to choose which field you stay in. One for views or one for more privacy. Facilities were very well kept and placed around the campsite across both fields - you weren't walking for miles to get to the nearest toilet. The ground was very rocky, so would suggest some heavy duty pegs! The camp site is close to local tourist spots also - we went to Durdle Door, sandworld and the sea life Centre. We plan to come back next year for longer and have already told friends about the camp site! Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

Wonderful views and the weekend music, food and bar had a great mini festival vibe. The campsite is very spaced out so you can have total privacy.

Fab site with great entertainment!
We loved our stay here! We received a really warm welcome, and throughout our stay staff were super friendly and accommodating. The toilets and showers were very clean and well sized. We were lucky enough to have some super entertainment - a circus skills workshop that kept the kids entertained for hours, the circus team then gave a brilliant show, and then the next night there was a live performer. The views are incredible too. We also tried some of the food and drinks whilst we were there and it was really good. Highly recommended a stay here!

Set within a Dorset farm overlooking the famous Jurassic Coast, Bincombe Bumps is a family friendly informal tent and campervan site. Immerse yourself in panoramic vistas perched on top on one of the highest hilltops in Weymouth, Dorset. During our summer season, our onsite kitchen will be providing freshly cooked breakfasts daily, and delicious dinners Thursday – Sunday. Our philosophy is to provide the best fodder, using seasonal and local ingredients, including our own meat. Enjoy your Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings with us, as a select number of local musicians will be performing in our marquee until 10pm.
Where to go

Weymouth is a multi-award-winning seaside town known for its golden sands and thriving centre. The beach is sprawling and packed with things to do, from hiring out pedalos and kayaks, to mini-golf, to donkey rides, and a Punch and Judy show for the kids. Make your way across the Weymouth Town Bridge to the harbour for a great selection of pubs and restaurants, where the little ones will also be able to go crabbing along the steps around its water. From the harbour you can take an uphill walk to Nothe Fort, Weymouth's historic sea fort that lets you enjoy 360-degree views of the Jurassic Coast, learn about local history in its museum, and explore its maze of underground passages.

Food and drink

The Old Ship Inn is a 20-minute walk away from Bincombe Bumps, the closest pub to the campsite. This traditional pub sits in the quaint suburb of Upwey, serving a popular Sunday roast and with a terraced garden out the back. Weymouth is under a 15-minute drive away, with plenty of great places to eat and drink – try the Quayside Bar and Kitchen along the harbour, boasting fresh seafood dishes with a view. The surf and turf comes highly recommended! Also in Weymouth, the Dorset Burger Company's burgers have won multiple awards, boasting some unique menu options such as a rarebit burger and, for the ambitious, a mac 'n' cheese burger.
