We set up our campsite to be a unique place where guests could be as close to nature as possible, while retaining some of the basic comforts of home. Think wildflower meadow with hot showers! We've gone for ultimate peace and tranquility, with a very limited number of pitches mown into the wildflowers with lots of space between. Our remote site is far from roads or light pollution, making for serene starry nights around the firepit. The camping meadow is bordered by woodlands, a small nature reserve, and the gardens of a stunning Tudor manor house, all of which you're free to explore. Nestled in a remote and picturesque corner of West Dorset, the campsite is within easy reach of some of the South West's most stunning spots, from world-famous fossil beaches to neolithic hill-forts.Want to be surrounded by nature, rather than other campers? Great vibe!

Absolutely LOVED this campsite. Somehow Dara managed to keep it very simple and basic, but with all te features you need. I mean, reception area in a caravan, loved it. Showering with a view: the best. Dishwashing area, all the stuff you need is there, including soap. The toilets are the basic non flushing kind, but they look great. The field is just partly mown, that way they created a cosy kind of paths and camspots. The option to start a fire combined with a great starry sky.... This campsite is a vibe and would definately return!

Benville Manor Camping

Well spaced pitches, peaceful field

This was probably the most relaxing, peaceful and calm place I have visited via Hipcamp. It is literally a meadow field with pitches well spaced so you’re not looking over your neighbours, if you time your visit well you can wake in the morning surrounded by wild flowers and butterflies. We whiled away an afternoon in the sun just watching the butterflies. The showers are open air, but hot. The only word of caution, check your booking with them before you arrive as Hipcamp failed to inform the host of our booking, luckily they could accommodate us.

Everything was perfect. Pitches are a good size with good amount of space in between them. Good shower and toilet facilities and friendly host. Would definitely return back.
