Country Bumpkins glamping site gives you the chance to get out in the countryside whilst also living it up. This site in rural Lincolnshire offers use of a hot tub and a cinema under the starsâin addition to comfy places to stay that are kitted out with oodles of charm. Bunting and fairy lights set the scene within this enchanting encampment, where you can choose between bell tents, a geo-desic dome, and a chalet caravan. The setting, 20 minutes south of Lincoln and an hour from Nottingham, offers an easy escape to the country from anywhere in the East Midlands
Itâs only the geodesic dome (known as âThe Iglooâ) which is set up specifically for two but thereâs definitely a romantic feel to the place and any of the accommodation could work well for a couple. But families are also welcome, especially in the chalet, which sleeps up to five in three bedrooms and has its own shower and loo. The others share facilities (two showers, two loos, and a bath) in a lodge which also includes a kitchen and loungeâwhich are the perfect place to hide out on rainy days. And, then of course, there's the all-important hot tub and outdoor cinema screen. This is usually fired up on Saturday nights for movies under the stars. The hot tub is yours for a private sessionâjust book your slot in advance.
There's also a communal fire pit and barbecue area and bikes are available to hire as well. They offer the perfect way to explore the areaâs quiet lanes. Use them to get to Wellingore and Navenby, the closest villages, where there are two pubs, and a lovely cafe which offers highly-recommended ice creams. Thereâs also a tiny domestically-sized museum, Mrs Smithâs Cottage, which, like Country Bumpkins glamping, is just about as charming as it sounds.
