It's all eclectic at Cosy Camping Suffolk. Like your favourite box of assorted chocolates. There's traditional camping in a four acre field. A couple of pre-pitched bell tents. Spacious, en-suite, glamping pods. And the chance to sleep in a converted gain silo, which, from the outside has its original, wavy, tin-clad appearance, but inside is a truly comfortable place to stay, with two floors, a double bed, a kitchen, and an en-suite bathroom. Which of these delicious treats you choose is up to you.
The Grain Silo and the glamping pods are so well furnished they almost feel closer to self-catering than they do to the world of camping but they still have a real connection to the great outdoors. They're sited in amongst the camping and bell tent pitches and each have their own picnic table and that essential fire pit for your late night campfire.
You’ll find all these cosy camping options ten miles past Ipswich and five miles before the seaside at Felixstowe, not far off the A14 which connects them. It’s a handy location for anyone who wants to visit either, or both, while enjoying the Suffolk countryside that lies between the River Debden and the Orwell. Here, on site, you’re right in among it, as the campsite is part of an arable farm which has been in the same family for more than 80 years. You can walk or cycle to the local pub on quiet lanes, you can visit a lavender farm just down the road and you can pick your own fruit at the local farm shop a few miles away. But it’s also only a 15-minute drive to the beach at Felixstowe.
