Boutique, adult-only, glamping in Cornwall, within walking distance of Marazion and St. Michael's Mount

Glamping is easy in Foxglove Field, a private, adults-only boutique glampsite where the facilities are as pristine as the views. Three furnished bell tents are pitched in a rural hideaway set on the southern tip of Cornwall, where the gorgeous waterfront town of Marazion is a 20-minute walk away and the port of Penzance is also within reach. As the name suggests, this is also a place that takes pride in its wildflowers. Foxgloves, bellflowers and daisies envelop your pitch, all an intentional part of the host's environmental efforts to bring more biodiversity to the farm.

The sustainable ethos of the place doesn't come at the price of functionality. Facilities are both well-equipped and well-maintained. As well as your tent's freestanding bed and seating for that morning cup of coffee, you'll also have access to flushing toilets, a hot shower, and a robust field kitchen, complete with environmentally-friendly washing-up products and toiletries. You'll also be able to enjoy the on-site vegetable garden, and spot the hares, butterflies and other wildlife that the increased biodiversity encourages.

Nearby, Marazion's a quaint little town of old cottages and charming pubs, with its long sandy beach looking out onto St. Michael's Mount. This unique tidal island is a must-visit, walking out along the dramatic cobbled causeway at low tide, all the way to the domineering castle that sits atop its steep hill. The glampsite is also located along the 230km West Kernow Way cycling route, so it naturally makes for an ideal stopping point for cyclists as they explore the region. Whether it's your bike or your walking boots that you're bringing, this is an ideal location for an adventure in South West Cornwall.

I loved staying at foxglove field!! Carrie was an amazing host, very friendly and helpful! My son had such a fun time running around her land, and playing on the grass. We would definitely recommend this place, is so peaceful. We had a wonderful time there, will be visiting again in the future.

Quiet environmental friendly camp
Amazing stay at Carrie's! She made sure our ride there was easy by giving us clear instructions. She was always available when we needed her, at the same time she allowed us our privacy. The camp is quiet and there isn't any light pollution during the night, we were able to see the Milky Way every night 😀 Definetly worth the money, great large tents, sweet kitchen, well equipped. There was always hot water, wood for the fire and charcoal for the barbecue. The camp is environmentaly friendly, Carrie is recycling everything and provides hygiene products that are kinder to the ecosystem. There was a horse farm across the road and we were able to see them every day.

Carrie's site has a magical feel and provides a special experience for those looking for something different to the norm. It has been created with care with consideration for the environment. The site feels remote but it is possible to comfortably walk to Marazion. I couldn't recommend it highly enough.

Located on the southern tip of Cornwall, Foxglove Field is a boutique glamping spot, where guests can unwind and enjoy the gorgeous coast, wildlife and landscapes of the beautiful south west. The idyllic waterfront village of Marazion is only 20 minutes’ walk, with views out to St Michael's Mount, cosy pubs and tasty cafes. Some of Cornwall's best surfing beaches are just around the corner, with the tourist hotspots of Penzance, world famous Land's End and nationally-renowned galleries only a few miles away as well. Please note that we are an adult only site and do not allow pets.
Nearby attractions

You'll want to visit St. Michael's Mount, a remarkable day out with plenty to see and do. Accessible by foot or boat – there are signposted landing points on the mainland for boat trips – here you can visit the castle with its litany of history, from a piece of Napoleon's coat worn at the Battle of Waterloo to the sofa where Queen Victoria sat, and its magnificent church and gardens. The island is adjacent to Marazion Beach, which is popular among watersports enthusiasts and is typically host to windsurfing, jet skiing, and sailing. It's a large stretch of sand, so you'll easily be able to find our own private spot, while you can also play in the rock pools surrounding Chapel Rock, a formation that juts out into the sea for some great views.

Food and drink

A 20-minute walk gets you to Marazion, which has a selection of quaint pubs and restaurants to enjoy. Stop at The Fire Engine Inn first, a rustic pub with gorgeous views out onto St. Michael's Mount – grab a spot outside if you can. Its menu is all pub classics and homemade pizzas, and it also provides an ever-popular Sunday lunch. Further into Marazion, the Cutty Sark Restaurant and Bar is particularly good for those searching for gluten-free and vegan options, with a wide-ranging menu that provides some unique lunch and dinner options. Booking is advised (01736 710334). If you're heading out to St. Michael's Mount, you can stop in at the Island Cafe, which was formerly the castle laundry but is now a place to grab a bite with both indoor and sea-view seating.
